I only have 5 figures stashed away since I still have plenty of room inside my display cabinet. Reason they are stashed away is because I don't really like them and will most likely sell them at some point. I have kept all the boxes for my figures simply because it will be much easier when I move out of home as some figures are actually fragile and should be returned to their boxes for transport.

I just try not to get the figure unless it's really appealing to me :)

Currently I have 7 figures in total collected over a span for 2 years.

I do keep the boxes, not to resell them, as it's easier to place them in the original box when I move/study overseas compared to wrapping them in bubble wrap and risking the precious figures

For me, I store my figures. Danny, the figures you don't want. You can sell it to the members for a special price. For non-members, they pay more. Also, you can give it away in a special contest (member only).

Yeah, I don't buy figures very often, unless I have the money or absolutely love the character.

if ever i've got a large collection of figures and got tired on some of them, i'd rather stock them and keep them in their boxes (if ever they survive the mandatory room clean-up) and just store them in a cabinet or something then probably if ever i've got enough money, i'll build a room filled with shelves in my home dedicated to figures and have a small museum or something like that lol XD

For those I'd have really disliked to a certain point, I would rather sell them to people I trust (to not have regrets selling to ones who don't respect figures properly -the idea of getting them back after a change of heart I thought about too-)

Mostly I will keep & rearrange my figures on my shelf since I only purchase those I like. However, I still keep their box in case someone interested to purchase from me.

I try not to buy any figurines on impulse, that way my room would not be too clattered with them. Then those that I bought would also be the ones I really like, so I would be permanently displaying them.

I've always been an incredible packrat, and as an adult it's really caught up to me.

I've discovered that I need to be very selective about what I buy OR I need to be willing to part with more. Until just a short time ago, I couldn't even bear to throw away advertisement magazines!

I'm so obsessive about keeping things in perfect condition that I discovered I just don't have the time or energy to do it if I buy everything AND keep everything.

My plan is, aside from cheap, "throw-away" purchases, to purchase only what I really want and am able to keep long-term.

Those things I'm bored with can go into storage and be pulled out later for my children in the future. Some of my favorite memories and learning experiences were exploring my family's old books and other possessions.

As much space as it takes, I am definitely a supporter of keeping original boxes. It makes long-term storage and resale far easier.

Hmm I have been very select with the figures I buy, so to say that I was bored with any of them doesn't affect me. I do however, have kept the boxes to them, but I guess I did that for transfer if I decide to move anywhere. Also now that I look at my whole collection, there isn't one thing that I would willingly part with.

What is an unwanted figure? I don't know that term. I love all my figures - can't say I'm tired of any of them. I usually don't buy just on a whim though, I stick to character designs I am really into.

I don't think I have any figures that are unwanted, per se. I tend to display based on what I feel like having out at the time as well as how much room I have. The rest stay packed away till I feel like swapping or find more room.

I only have two 1/8 scale PVCs and an incomplete (6 out of 7) gashapon set, so I don't really need to get rid of the figures. I do still keep the boxes in case I get the chance to sell them though...

I dun have that many anime figures mostly are star-wars space ships and figures. Considering selling the Star Wars stuff to make more shelf-space, since the movies are done already and theres not much gonna happen to Star Wars (movie wise). I like to display my figures in the acutal box. Most of my gashapons find a new home inside a clear case for display to protect against dust. I don't like to get rid of any of my figures because each are represent a special gift from my husband.

I tend to keep all my figures regardless, but if there is a particular one i really don't like, then i will hide it soemwhere in my cupboard. On the other hand, if one of my friends particularly likes it, ill either give it to them, sell it for a good price, of trade :D (trading brings back memories of the old days when i traded stuff as a kid in primary school :P)

I collect certain dolls, I try to keep their boxes in storage to keep the collection somewhat intact, I did had to sell a doll (because of "bonding") issues, so the box came in handy. I was lucky that a friend in UK was interested to adopt the doll into her large collection XD

well let me think????....give them away!!(NO WAY).....sell them?(nope), lets just say that i will display them proudly till the day the world ends!!, i will buy more display cases and have wall to wall anime figures!.....u can never have too much of a good thing(especially anime!)

Owh2.. the killer question asked by a relative and friend of mine. The answer; a plain and simple "i'll keep them, thank you"...

See, the first thing is that i'm still a newbie in this figurine (i know they are referred to as figures, but i can't help calling them figurines... coz i only collect *ahem* ladies) thing but heck, i'm loving it. ok2 since i'm still new, some people around me just could get the fact into their head (and heart). but still, after collecting some very nice ones (namely the new Kureha, the maid version of Tohsaka Rin, and a few nicely crafted Gashapons), i intend to go further... Yehaaa!!!

One thing though, it's kinda hard to get my hands on the figurines i like (my dearest Rei Ayanami... aishiteru). does anyone especially those living in Malaysia know where i could get my hands on this???

First, i just stash away unwanted figures. I find for the perfect time to give it away. At the moment there is only 1 PVC figure i don't want.

But yeah i always save the boxes.

It keep the figure from losing it's true value.....plus you need them if you are gonna be moving out and whatnot.

i seldom get bored of my figures. that's why i bought them in the first place, because i really loved it. ^^;

in rare cases in which i really get bored of them, i'll stock them up by putting in less obvious places to make space for new figures.

I've yet to get bored with a figure but I have gotten some and almost immediately felt disappointed with them (this has happened only twice). Seems a shame to store figures...even ones I didn't like. So I sell them. I'd feel too guilty that I paid money for them just to keep them in the dark in a box somewhere when someone else may enjoy them.

Well, I never get bored of my figures because before buying each one of them, I think carefully if it's really a "must have" for me or not, so, I can't make a bad desicion.

Right now I have 23 figures collected over 2 years and a few pre-orders placed and I don't have any regret with them, I really like all of them ^^.

Anyway, a beautiful collection you have there with a lot of variety.

i keep my boxes just because the box art (in the case for gundams) are beautiful and I can't throw them away... i keep the figurine boxes too incase I need to do some moving or something and I gotta pack them up... can't risk damaging them!
