Apple Cinema Displayは最近買った。マイクロソフト社員はアップル商品を買うと、最大12%の社員割引持っている。だからMSではマックやiPodユーザーが多いわけじゃ^^;

みらいちゃん壁紙。もうすぐアップします^^;

Macな生活 title=

Displayの電源がでっかい。

最近の部屋。フィギュアが増えている。。。

Wow, the discount is really ironic funny! I barely touch a Mac, but the design of the hardwares are art!

How big is your display? I really envy that monitor. Bet you dish quite sum for that.

Macs are beautiful - everyone needs to switch to them. The prices are also becoming more reasonable. What are everyone's opinions on the iPhone, which is coming out in the summer?

Q: Why do we need security numbers if we're signed in?

After reading this, I really, really miss my PowerBook :( .

At my last job, the CFO kept wanted a solution that let him use his fancy new display as his primary screen and close the laptop. He had similar problems as you have. It wasn't until I got him a docking station for his PB that everything worked the way he wanted. Not to mention the time save in not having to plug and unplug everything into the laptop. Might help you, the one I got him was from an outfit called BookEndz.com (I'm not affiliated with them, just was satisfied with them).

I've been using macs for 15 years now, and OS X is, by far, one of the best operating systems I've ever used. It's not only sleak and full of eye candy, but it's fast and powerful.

*OOPS!* Did u change the relative paths to your images? I use Bloglines to retrieve your feed, and tonight, all the image URLs start with http:// www.bloglines.com/ slide/ etc , instead of the usual http:// www.dannychoo.com/ slide/ etc . I tried using a mac once but I've never gotten use to the controls and the interface. Switched back to windows after that. I'll probably try again after sometime. Not having serious problems with my windows machine anyway. :)

Wow promoting Apple when your company just release a new operatiing system? I kid...anyway the ability to run Windows on a Mac is enticing so I'm torn between getting Mac or building a new PC. Staying away from Vista though.

I switched to a 24" Imac about 2 months ago and can safely say I will never personally own a Windows PC again. Mac OS X is just a awesome stable environment to work in. The display is bright and crisp and it is a dream to watch anime on as the colors are perfect. My only gripe is the Finder, it's just not powerful enough, so I went and bought Pathfinder by a company called Cocoatech. If you are having a problem using finder, check it out

Sorry I just can't bring myself to use a mac. Linux yes,and windows but i guess i am just anti-mac. I will admit the new mac books are nice looking and all. But trying to run apps native to windows is a pain. Plus if your doing any gaming you might as well forget it. Danny you should give Ubuntu a try or another Linux distro a try. If you like the way OSX runs you may fall in love with Ubuntu.

Hmm...thanks for this post danny, its very helpful, cos i for one will be looking at getting a laptop for university at the end of next year, and i have always been torn between Mac and Windows...

Thing is, it depends really on what ill be using it for, but seeing as i am going to be using it mainly for graphic design, i seem to get the feeling a Mac might be more suitable, but i have plenty of time to decide i guess.

What do you think? for running graphic design programs and such, do you think Mac would be better?

I may give it a try then, I always wanted to try a mac, but the problem is that Uni~o'~ Hertfordshire only use Windows due to the softwares that are available and matches...etc...

Apps like Parallels allow a Mac machine to run both OS? o.o nice!
I may give it a try then, I always wanted to try a mac, but the problem is that Uni~o'~ Hertfordshire only use Windows due to the softwares that are available and matches...etc...

    AKI! I see you!

I've been using a Mac at work for years and I switched at home last year and had a few converts also. When the Wintel people get over that "but it's a Mac," they'll discover how much life is easier with it. I got a Mini and MacBook. I totally but abandoned Windows, except for a couple of progs. If anyone has Mac questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them.

I use my Mini to watch videos all the time...you know, anime. Here's a couple programs to watch your stuff. MPlayer OSX (www.mplayerhq.hu) or VLC Media Player (www.videolan.org). I had the same problem months ago, now that I have these, my switch was complete.

    chibifish,
Unlike Windows, you dont have to worry about Codecs - its all in VLC.

    Ayame,
    Welcome!

    loukito, Sorrento,
    Soon ^^;

    Arekusu,
the apps that you would run are available on both mac and win. I personally prefer mac though as Expose allows drag and drop of icons a breeze.

    Nodle,
Heard about Ubuntu but also heard about people giving up on it.

    Matt_,
There are some pics a while back - have a look in the Japan section under "ginza"

    thewrinklyninja,
I tried pathfinder but still had probs with it...

    KCA,
Before the end of this month I will announce ^^

    xjaymanx,
I dont remember changing anything. Have you tried Google Reader instead? I switched from bloglines as I found Google Reader to be much better in terms of usability.

    Tsubaki,
    You?...

    Rock Jehiel Manuel,
    ^-^

    penpen,
    My Wife owns that.

    Royal,
Will fix that but its not a priority at the moment...

    Aurora,

I have a lot of Mac experience but I have never licked them. The limited hardware is a deal breaker for me. I like being able to choose who I buy my notebook from and I build my own desktops. Building your own desktops makes you real picky about components. Apple machines have good form factor but they don't have the hardcore hardware components down to the power supply like Alienware does. Also, I prefer Linux to OSX even though I am primarily a Windows user.

I spent $3000 on a Sony VAIO and it lasted barely 1 year of intense mobile usage before utterly shattering into mush.

I purchased MacBook Pro (with every conceivable upgrade and pack) and it has served me until today, three years old.

I am never buying another non Mac laptop, ever, again. Love the system, love the interface, love the design.
