7年間日本に住んでいて、車を買う必要は全然なかったと感じた。交通機関は世界一ですし、殆どのところには電車やバスで行ける。しかし、電車も面倒くさい面もある。例えば、コストコで買い物を沢山したときや、電車が混んでいてアーマーで電車乗ったら、アーマーが壊れるとか。。。この前日本武道館でイベントがあり、アーマーを分解してタクシーで乗った行った。帰るときはそのままアーマーを着てタクシーに乗っていたんですが、タクシーが捕まるまでは雨の中のトルーパーだった。そうゆうときに車があると便利だなーと。
しかし車を買うのは結構めんどうなことがいろいろとありますね。特に車保険選び。面倒くせぇ〜！
免許はイギリスの持っていたので、それを日本のものに切り替えるための面倒なプロセスなどを後日長い記事でアップします。

Its got what a 1000cc 4 cyclinder engine uner the hood? Probably front wheel drive, maybe a 10 liter feuk tank, and around 30+ KPL (Kilometers per liter). I'd say that you have bought what i call a "Grocery getter" nothign fancy just somethign that cna zip you to the shops and back carry you and the wife and maybe a future kid or two in the back with enough room for their tiny legs. Good buy Danny, I wouldnt have picked anything different if I was in your shoes myself.
