Theres another animation?
It's a Japanese dub/release of the Animated TV/toyline series aired/released from 2007 to 2009. Seems to be like the dub of Beast Wars, where it's not completely accurate to the original American storyline.
In this case the character Bulkhead is being renamed Ironhide, despite there being another character already named Ironhide in the series. Also, according to Figure-O, it'll be edited to fit into the live action movie series, instead of it actually being it's own stand-alone series.
Hope I can find it on KeyHole TV, I'm curious to see how the editing works.

I am afraid that I'd be disappointed with this new animated movie. The new character designs just don't have the same feel as the original 80's designs.

This was made as a kiddie series. Of course it won't have the same feel as the original 80's cartoon. Same way others were griping about the movie not looking like the 80's cartoon. >_>
