This beats the old creaky bus where I donated blood last time . I screwed up the collection because I knocked the needle out from nervous twitching >_< Some sort of entertainment or art to look at would have done wonders to calm me down, so I can see how a center like this would be a smart investment.

The mix of English and Japanese determines your blood type, then the needle from the ceiling will drop.

I like the placement; firehose next to restroom with the light switch...i know there's a conspiracy theory in there ...somewhere :)

Kudos to the Japanese Red Cross. The whole place is beautifully designed and also serves a useful purpose!

Not usually good seeing blood taken from me but I wouldn't mind trying that place out! The entire place looks pretty sweet.

I'm impressed! It has a very clean, space-age feel without coming across as completely cold and clinical. The monthly themes are pretty cool, too: makes the place seem friendlier! Yet I still get the willies when looking at these photos - blame it on a horrible medical phobia ^^; I'd happily donate if I wasn't a big coward!

This looks a lot more appealing than the blood donation centers that I've seen. And the monthly theme is just an amazing idea, so you have to donate blood every time they change theme... for the greater good.

Pitty the max time i can get off work in one piece is 4 weeks... (for japan holidays) so donating blood there won't work for me when i hit the place. :<

I have to give blood twice a year since my blood type is quite rare >.<
However, I dont mind needles and the nurse is supaa kawaii, so all is good ^^

If only my country have that kind of design for a blood donation facility I would glad to go there every month to donate my blood.

I work for a bio tech company currently we sell lab equipment, and machines to examine blood and run tests. So I think my work place should look like the star ship enterprise too.

this place is so cool! round where i live, if you want to donate blood you have to go to the local church on specific nights. there would be a lot more people donating if facilities like these were available here.

I have been donating plasma for cash. (Okay, they call it donation, so I won't argue) The facility isn't as nice as this, but it's clean and tidy. As for blood donation, I did some back in HS, but they said I had a marker for Hepatitis, so they booted me. Turns out, they were horribly wrong (There was no way at that point that I could have had any strain of Hep.) but that also stopped me from donating for 15 years.

"If you like loli's with huge schoolbags..." I thought that was a euphemism for a sec...

Hmm, they seem more welcoming then the ones here in the U.S. that's for sure.
Freeking went in and had just a sample of blood taken and the lady was doing great drawing blood, then she moved my arm, which led to extreme discomfort. Other stories when my friends donated blood, they made is so it sounded like they were not welcome.
