    That's not a Gundam! It's not! (Covers ears) Lalalalaalalalala~~

Seriously, Bootleg toys are ridiculously common in the Southeast Asia region (Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia et. al) and the Taiwan and Hong Kong areas. I suppose everyone's seen or heard of Fake Gunpla kits by Ben-Di, called "Goda Sid" ^_^;;; I actually even bought a bootleg MG FAZZ once, thinking that I had enough skill as a modeller to make it look good.

Suffice to say, I gave the unbuilt kit away. It was actually costing me more sitting in my flat than had I bothered to buy the genuine kit.

The only purpose I currently see for bootleg Gunpla would be to make dioramas of destroyed MS. Unfortunately, most bootleg kits are usually of the Gundams and noth the grunts (Zakus, GMs, etc), so it's not all that helpful to a diorama modeller, either.

3000 yen for such bootleg toys? Thats about SGD 45.00 and way to expensive... in here you can get such bootleg for a mere SGD 15.00 or about somewhere near 1000 yen... usually only kids would love them due to the lights and sound effects and what have you... for Gundam/GunPlaMo fans like me... we might buy that for the sake of getting the LED and/or wiring parts...

LOL, for that 3000 yen (441 Mexican Pesos)
U could buy like 10 of this toys here in mexico, and very likely to have a monotonous sound of "Fur Elise" version with it XP

bootleg toys XD they amuse me.

A few days ago I was bored so I went to a convenience store near my place and saw a bootleg Go-onger figurine. It looks really horrifying because it has normal-proportioned head/helmet but it has a body like the Hulk's.

I've grown up with seeing a slew of cheap mass produced toys over the years. I can remember back when this small backwoods country called Japan (*cough*) was producing cheap tin windup robots with silkscreened faces not much better than this gundam. This stuff is crap now, but give it twenty or so years, and some collector is gonna snap this stuff up for hugely inflated prices! That is, if DC doesn't take them out to the street as Ugly Toy Trooper and stomp the bejeezus outta them!
