My chinese horoscope is a Dragon (born in 1988) :)
About the veggies stuffed with minced meat, had that a couple of days ago.
And Japan should definately have a system/law that gives food not being sold (and still eatable) to homeless people. NEVER WASTE FOOD!
Oh, anyone know the size of the monitor that is connected to the Mac Mini on this picture? http://www.dannychoo.com/post/en/25194/A+Week+in+Tokyo+46.html#image80985

haha same here, im a dragon aswell, and oddly enough also born in 1988, dragons are by far the coolest :)

I'm gonna take a wild stab at the dark and stay that you both are Chinese, right? If I'm wrong, I apologize.
Traditional Chinese tend to want to have children within the years of tigers and dragons, and 1988 was a very popular year to have kids, popular to the point that dragons born in that year were called the golden dragons. children born in 2000 were called the millennium dragons.

I love reading your Week in Tokyo articles :3
In regards to grooming in the morning, I used to be really self-conscious about how I look because lots of time I would go out without combing my hair or forget my lip balm, but then it didn't really matter. Boyfriend loved me regardless of how I look ^^;; I'm really not there to impress anybody else (unless I have to get ready for a presentation or a meeting haha).
I miss Godiva chocolate! I love getting them as gifts.
And for Chinese horoscope, I'm a tiger :3 nyan nyan.

Grooming, unfortunately have to spend a bit of time on myself as I have a troublesome issue >.<; such a waste of my time but I can't really do anything further about it orz... that's on a normal work day or when I need to go out, otherwise I cut back so not to waste too much time.

I'd choose a Nissan GTR as an every day car only if the petrol would cost something like... uhhh... Less than 1 euro per liter.
It's probably the best sport car out there without looking at things like Ferrari or high-end, racing-specs, Porsche, but it's fuel consumption is ludicrous, if I remember correctly the GTR burns something like 12 liters every 100 kilometers! It is like I were driving my Civic constantly with the foot stepped on the pedal.
Maybe, since in Japan thee engine has a built-in limiter unless you drive on a racing track, the consumption is lower but still, is way higher respect the Fairlady.

warm the jug with some hot liquid before pouring it all in it
put something under the jug while pouring the hot liquid in it (like a coaster)

a shame that so many people on the polls dont take care of the way they look!
Its 2009 ,soon to be 2010 and i like to dress well, clean well, and just generally be fresh.but thats just me.It displays alot about your character, the way you dress and look. And if the mentality is "argh i dont care" then, well, dont be suprised if people arent impressed or interested. But hey, do as you wish ^ ^
i just think it DOES play an important role in todays society. Freshness & style.

No not the Mobiky! Get a Brompton folding bike Danny. It's good old British engineering and it's a 30 year old tested and proven design. It also folds into a easier and lighter package to cart onto the JR line or into the car boot. Or get a Bike Friday folding bike, it's a small bike that'll carry lot's of loot ^^;

About a million things I could comment on but I pick this one-
Love you for posting the Fog Bar commercials. I hadn't seen them all yet and it features (almost) all of my favorite non-Johhny's boys~ Oguri Shun, Miura Haruma, Eita, and Tsumabuki Satoshi. ♥
Fog Bar is tempting me to cut my hair short again- I want to do all the fun things with my hair that boys get to do with their hair. :P

Ikea stuff definitely breaks after awhile. But it is cheap to replace with more Ikea stuff. I love the comment about becoming like dad and reading ladies fashion mags. Awesome. I need to find some more time to spend on here. I'm behind in my reading.

I've had two Ikea made table light holders break on me before due to the force from the resultant angle I position my light in and the plastic material its made out of. The first time, it just snapped and my light fell on my arm and keyboard. Luckily the bulb stayed in tact so there was no messy clean up required. Since the light was still good, I got another plastic stand from Ikea to find the same shearing breakage occur over time. This time however, I replaced it well before it actually sheared off completely with a vice grip bolted to a block of steel. This should be close to a permanent solution.

Lovely post. Every time I see your food photos I get hungry U.U
Thanks to your post now I know I'm a TIGER!!^^ Maybe that's why I get along so well with cats.
Quote: In Japan its illegal to post ads around the town so instead they get people to stand around holding them up.
In Mexico is the other way around. I wish that could be the case here, that way you don't produce pollution and you can employ people to do that kind of stuff. Well... that's how it is here U.U

Glass is bad at rapid temperature changes apparently. I had the same thing happen to me when I was trying to use a glass jar of ice to help cool my computer. Would sit it till the water inside melted, then stick it in the freezer before putting it back on the computer. Eventually cracked.
So plan B would be just more fans.

I rather spend time sleeping or check my mail in the morning. x.x Nothing to groom anyway. Rather short hair and don't put make-up. LOL.
I am a sheep. =3
Almost all the furniture in my room is from Ikea. Bed frame, desk, tv console, book selves and blah blah blah. So far so good. Planning to get another Billy bookshelf soon. My manga collection needs more space.

I love these posts, they make my day happier <3 I've spent NO money on Halloween, nor do I plan to. I'm hoping to get home from work that day and watch some anime and just relax at home, I never got sucked in to the Halloween hype, but I go all out for Christmas! Though I do admit, if I had a Dollfie, I'd be spending money on a costume for her~ Can't wait to see the projects you're planning, Danny, they sound big!
@Danny hope the hoihoi san kit will not sit in a corner in your home. Do make time to fix it up. ^_^

Buy a cup with thin glass so the inner temperature of the glass is not too different from the outer temperature to prevent expansion and breaking. Or look for cups that say heat resistant.

Oh, and: LadyZ hands down; I think we have FreeCycle; I use fax machines at work for important docs that require signatures (we has scanners too, but people still prefer faxes somewhy); not sure which mag, they all look cute; no spendy on Halloween, saving for ORGANIC booth at Pacific Media Expo!; what is air tag?; and no IKEA stuff that breaks (yet),
Whew!

中ーさん: I greatly enjoy the posts you provide and the window of Tokyo you reveal on the web. I've just returned from the last year and a half from Tokyo (where I first found your site) and think your content and photos are pretty darned groovy. I've turned some friends on to it as well--keep up the fine posts. The ones of food are poison for me as it makes me miss my fondest ramen....もちょっと書いてください。。。

Nice Nendoroid Reimu. Have a friend who took his Nendoroid Miku with him out to dinner. Apparently it was gone after he finished eating. Must have kept it near the edge of the table or something.
