My graphic design teacher tells me not to use anime characters on my designs... they don't sell... Of course this was almost a decade ago.

Let's see... not a lot of anime pictures on products over here unless it's import, but I know this one travel agency company uses this anime-like mascot on their adverts.

"America's #1 Pharmacy." WAG, Has some Moe inspired characters to spread Halloween spirit. I got that feeling after seeing the character "Treats". Just look up WAG and look at the Halloween promotions. Yeah, they are quite original, yet Moe.

There are definitely a lot of anime looking characters on items around here, especially on the tops of Boba drinks.
Also, stuff like Esurance runs commercial on TV with anime looking characters as well (or arguably more like comic book characters).

An extended washcloth to hit the back and back under shoulder area is a good idea. She looks like the Fujibayashi twins on Clannad to me. The picture, however, wouldn't be allowed here since its close to the visuals not allowed in the USA. I like it a lot, its a good idea Anime like characters are being used in advertisements. I don't think it would be a good idea to use Named Anime characters on items (it could harm their reputation), but these generic ones are fine.
