    Most crawling insects don't bother me - you can always put a glass or a bowl over a spider on the floor. It's the flying ones like moths that freak me out.

      The only one I really can't stand are roaches. It has to do with how big they are and how when you step on them they splat. The flying ones I saw in the Philippines were the worst. I vividly remember being a kid and running around screaming with other kids as it flew around, practically chasing us.

        well the choices of reincarnation depends on the karmic retribution for the specific person for the animal world of reincarnation...so the sutra says...

        the worst form of punishment usually goes to hell LOL
        super bad asses goes to a place in Hell called "the uninterupted hell"

        yeah it will rot, so they definitely will soak them in ethyl acetate (finger nail polish remover) before handling them, so naturally it will preserve...

        but other factors like dust, mites...bla bla...darn...wall of text LOL

    oh I've seen something like this before! That guy sculpted it so well... It makes me wonder how on earth did he manage to keep all those insects intact! They break and fall apart so easily.

    I'm pretty much fine with any bugs, I grew up with catching insects and bugs for fun.
    The only thing I dislike are worms or centipedes. I'm fine with catching them, but if they crawled on me... I would flip lol.

    I have to say that I like it and I like all types of insects and arachnids and the like. I'm particularly fond of jewel beetles and lunar moth's as well as some arachnids such as the orb spiders and writing spiders that live all around the outside of my house and do a good job of keeping down the pest insects. That being said I dislike fire ants and I loathe flea's and roach's ( madagascar hissing roach's are cool though ) and fly's because the fire ants hurt and the other's carry diseases. I have had as pets the madagascar hissing roaches and african millipedes and pink haired tarantula's and several indigenous scorpions when I used to live in Georgia. I have kept non insect pets as well that were exotic such a giant pink lipped tree frog, various newts and salamanders and geckos, I've also had a salter water reef tank and owned a nautilus for a short while ( very hard to keep because they require cold water temperatures ).

    I will usually go out of my way to remove insects from my home without hurting them. Spiders I will leave alone unless they are a potential threat inside the house, even then I wont harm them.
    I have had a person tell me that if you find a honey bees nest in your home, to go the extra length to try and contact a bee keeper instead of spraying them as they will potentially pay you for them.
    But a statue tiled with beetles? As exotic as it is I think shall pass on that.^^;
