      Ahh... the everlasting problem of friends who don't know about anime. A much bigger problem than friends who aren't interested in anime, but at least know about it. I remember one of my friends was looking at my roommate's Yuki Nagato towel and wondering why the nose was so small.

      As far as figures go, I usually use "Got it from a friend" or the stare, shaking the head in disbelief while sighing, and ending with a "you wouldn't understand."

        yeah, see, i just am such an unrepentant hentai i long ago decided to stop pretending to be something i'm not and naysayers be damned. to me, there are much worse things to be in the world than an otaku who collects figures of beautiful girls. in fact, i am pretty happy with it.

    To tell the truth, I don't really see this as a bad thing. It's something that should be done...in theory.

    In practice, I'm not so sure. Most people who show up for figure events have probably already been exposed to stuff like this. Unless you're bringing along a clueless little brother or something, I don't see this doing much. Better for general public image, though.

    I kinda thought that was already done before ^^; But I guess with the current pressure on ecchiness in Japan, they can't help but be on the safe side. We always have a lot of panels in our conventions that ask for ID because of the adult content. Though we've never had a figure event before like this :P

    Somehow it's like with the "uncanny valley" with figures for me: WHen they are too naked I don't like them that much anymore!!

    Well Im definitely buying this, as a big fan of ecchi and Tony Taka figures I'm all over this. Id say roughly 80% of my figure collection is ecchi, so shed make a welcome addition. :D

    How cute! I know how she got in that pose. She dropped a present on the floor and had a "wardrobe malfunction" when she went to pick it up. That Santa suits was just loose is all. ;nod;
    Yeah, that's what happened....right?

    I thought her name was "Colete", but no biggie. I am a big fan of Tony Taka's artwork and naturally gravitate towards any figures that has his art on it. I also don't mind a little bit of ecchi to go and add some variety to the collection as long as the sculpt is excellent for me. I saw this picture and immediately needed to have her. I can't wait to get my preorder in for this beauty.
