I second that. The original version looks so bad-ass with the giant gun and shiny leather.
The sword just doesn't quite cut it (no pun intended).

The sword idea is pretty cool. If it was bigger and more intimidating, I would like it more, I think. I think this one looks a little too simplistic. That's all fine and dandy, but that sort of simplicity demands an elegance and sophistication that someone like Ignis can pull off well, but not so much for this Miku variant.

I'll see about the price. I don't really like the accurate depiction of her - including the scar on the hips. Some illustrations leave that out. Prefer the latter.

This one looks nice, but I still prefer the other one a bit better. Not to mention I've had it on pre-order since March I think I'll be sticking with it.
I'm so disappointed with them choosing to make another BRS in the SAME POSE.
I thought it was going to be a figure of (Dead Master) DM from huke's other art...
I was going to buy that but now it's off my list.

Well...this is certainly better-looking than I expected. She looks surprisingly good without her jacket - that's a really small bikini, by the way. Will look at the price, I guess. Skipped on the other BRS, and I don't think I can hold back and miss both of them now when they're both so good-looking.
Need some black-coated figures to balance out my mass of white ones anyway. ^^;
The previous one's better though, methinks - the gunmetal is impressive, the coat looks nice on as well, and the parents would be less skeptical. >_>

GSC commercials are looking great.
Both figures look awesome, and since I've already pre-ordered the first one ages ago I'll just stick with that one.
If they end up selling the second one for real cheap, I might have to consider getting it as well... but the thing is, the only real difference between the 2 is, the jacket is off, plus the position of her arm holding the jacket. No bulky cannon and the base is much simpler.
But with less plastic used, and less scuplting of new parts required, it should be a lot cheaper.
Just like the Hatsune Miku 1/8 TVCM version, only difference is that her eyes are closed and the base is different. The price is SO MUCH CHEAPER. only 4500yen

MINE! Chicks with swords are always sexier than chicks with guns. Hands DOWN! Plus, I didn't even notice the other one, until I found out that they were sold out everywhere (Who knows? GSC might release a few more later down the road) but for me, the chick with the sword is the one I'm getting.
Plus, I like the smaller base ~ Implies less cost, might be slightly cheaper than the original, considering they're using less material.

I love the Black Rock Shooter figure! I want her so bad! The blue flame in her eye is my favorite aspect of this figure (also the fact that she is very shiny looking).
I like the original version better just because it shows off her jacket a little more.

A giant cannon is waaaaay more original than a sword, but imo the cannon is a bit too humongous. I prefer BRS with the sword. Not sure if I like her with the coat on or off better, she looks great either way :3
