7時ぐらいで、まだ明るい。イギリスに住んでいた頃を思い出す。夏には夜10PMになってもまだ明るい。
そして夕食は寿司やにて。

I had a female friend steal all of my ramen (at 10cents a pack it didn't bankrupt me, but I had at least 30 packets + a dozen Cup-a-Soups) because she said it was unhealthy for me to eat. It got me through the first three years of college on a tight budget though.

Everyday ramen is not healthy. I ever had a housemate a dozen years ago eat ramen everyday, and his pee smell like ramen when he forgot to flush the toilet. Pheew...

You must not look around enough then. Most (but not all, of course) of this Japanese food can be found in Vancouver if you look hard enough, as well as varying foods from other cultures.

Really? You just have to avoid the Chinese/Korean-run places(no offense) and after eating out for a while you can easily pick it out. There's lots of good places though. There's some decent Ramen Bars on the West End, sukiyaki at Posh, some decent All-you-can-eat places all over the Vancouver area, Yakiniku at Shabusen, etc etc. A lot of them are expensive but meh, you get what you pay for.

i think pretty much all the all you can eat sucks. Posh is ok.
only resturants i eat is, Manzo, Guu, some random japanese place near my house, Bamboo Grove(best chinese restuant), Earls, Semi Peppers, The Keg(it's alright).

also there are some good resturants in white rock At the beach. I plan on trying the Stone Grill and the Kobe Beef in downtown.

Eggplant - yummy! Mm, that gives me the idea to cook moussaka (greek dish w/ eggplant) for supper, or maybe some ratatouille!... Except that they're terribly time consuming to cook. You have to drain the water out of the eggplant first, and it takes forever! (at least, it feels like forever, though my patience is equal to that of Sonic the Hedgehog's)

It seems like you have a lot of tasty fast food options over there, compared to the usual burgers, chips, tacos and chicken that's par the course for here. Is there a lot of different cuisine readily avaliable in Japan? Here, if I had a craving for Indian, or maybe Greek food, I'd probably have to try a restaurant, since fast food of that sort isn't very common.

I hate that its so light this late in Summer... I like when it gets dark before 6pm and isn't properly light untill 8:30am. Right now, as Danny says, long evenings... not completely dark untill 10pm at least... and then its only dark for like 6 hours untill it starts getting like again.... HATE it. I'd like to have a holiday in the place that stays dark all day long... forgotten where exactly it is... think its northern europe somewhere...

2 prawns and 1 eggplant. only that much or are extras free? (i guess not)
i'd have to eat some 10-15 of those stuff to reach some 2/3 of my capacity. i'd be hungry the entire night if i only got that much.

Wow bright at 10pm in the UK... That's pretty cool...

I think the time the sun sets there in Japan is similar to Australia.

Woooo hooooo...this be my "100th" comment.......Well it ain't such a big deal but Woooohooooo!!

Anyway i never experienced darkness after 10pm, coz it be really wierd if that happens around my country.

The thing i noticed about japanese food is that no matter how simple the food may be, presentation of the food is always important. Around here where i'm currently located,it's impossible to find Japanese food. I'd have to travel quite a long distance to visit my favourite Japanese restaurant. hehehehehe which is actually across the border of another country >.<
