              Tenth! XD Sorry. <.< I had to keep it going. I think any body mod is just about people changing themselves in new ways, sometimes for the masochistic pleasure of it. I don't understand why they don't just put in sub-dermal horns or something, that would be pretty gnarly and more permanent. ^^;

If I had to I would do the body inflation since after a while the fluid would disperse and you would look normal again.
I generally try to keep sharp objects away from my eye's as I tend to enjoy having normal vision and wish to keep it that way.

Body modification... though I have nothing against people who does it, I myself would never do extreme stuff like that.
Scarification, silicone injections, hooks, needles, eye tattooing and inflation... those are the stuff I'd never do.

I dropped most of my piercings and have my tattoos... no regrets, but those are enough for me.

But I can't say anything about tomorrow... I am kinda curious about how it feels (extreme pain, I know) to be suspended by hooks.

It sounds squishy. o_O I kind of want to poke it, and I'm kind of scared to do it.

Years and years later, long after our race has come and gone, some alien civilization will found images like this. With nothing better to go on, they'll probably assume it's a common practice or how we were born to begin with. Maybe they'll even see it and think we wiped ourselves out with nuclear fallout or something.

Ugh. Back in the Philippines, this is what unscrupulous market sellers did to make their chickens look fresher and plumper--injected water into them. Not only is it painful, I'd say it's potentially dangerous. I mean, what of the chances of infection?

To say nothing about inflammation. My late grandma used to work in rice fields, and in her advanced age, the water absorbed in her legs made them swell to make walking painful. Anyone using this water treatment is going to regret it years down the line.

Being someone that has done some body modding in the past I have to draw the line at tattoo's and piercings which I have done both. Of this kind of lifestyle I am considered a conservative in that my tattoo is in a place that is easily concealable yet easily made visible. With my past piercing it was the same way for three of the four that I had plus the scaring was minimal with two having since disappeared. I have never understood the concept of branding or scarification along with splitting appendages such as the tongue or fingers or worse the dolphin ( Yikes !!! ). There are consequences to consider when doing some of these extreme modifications such as being able to get and keep an adequate career for one and if you have a spouse or child or family the definite potential for questions and ridicule for them.

I have been considering some new piercings, it really is more a fetish than a form of self expression which tattooing as a form of expression is limited for the wearer but greater for the artist and when it comes to piercing branding scarring and cutting there's nothing expressive about it other than you enjoy pain and you want people to look at you. I never did my modding to express myself while I have created artwork and written material to do my expressing. My modding was both out of curiosity and a desire to experience something new and found that I liked it enjoying the experience and the rush of the momentary pain.

The work these guys had done is only temporary as it is a saline solution that the body will absorb in a few hours to a day or two.

Truly disgusting. Who would want to do that! Imagine the rash from the stretching skin, and that guy's eye is like...permanently closed!

Eye tattooing? Well, if I really had to keep my collection I would have the eye tattoo, in which the tattoo is of my actual eye, so I could live with it until I got it removed, and still look normal.

funny seeing the remarks of people in this thread. to me it's to each their own. their body, their choice, they can do what they want. i don't think it's gross, it's just something i wouldn't do i guess. i'm happy with my usual body mods of piercings and tattoos.

for body inflation, saline is usually used and will be absorbed by the body harmlessly in a few minute/hours, depending on size and area.

Body Inflation: Bloody surgical procedures to bring your body back to normal
Eye Tattoo: You have to perforate your eyeballs by surgery when your heavily anesthesiated, and then replace it with a donor ones that matches your same eye colour
