Whenever I played KotOR, I always went through the first time by answering as I would in real life. I tended to be a neutral-leaning Jedi.
But man, there were SO many times when I just wanted to strangle someone. I think I'll choose Sith this time around. x_x

Im also not a big fan of the MMO, still i would want to give it a try at least...The thing about MMO is the infinity of gameplay that will be available which makes it interesting.

Especially since this takes place thousands of years before the movies, literally untapped frontier for massive amounts of storytelling, which is what BioWare does best. Plus fully voiced! A landmark in MMO games!!!

I wouldn't worry about KOTOR 3. They've been leaving sequels/expansions up to Obsidian Entertainment since Neverwinter Nights 2. That being said, I hope they can keep up with content patches to keep players in the game.

Just because jedi and sith are in the game doesn't mean that's all there is. BioWare did announce the trooper and bounty hunter classes quite some time ago, and it seems that there are planned classes beyond even those two. Perhaps even classes like the Mandalorian Soldier will be available!

Since it's based off of a previously created universe, it's not like they can really make brand new races/classes all that easily as if it was their own creation from scratch. :) They have to follow the Star Wars universe, which means your predictable classes and races and alignments. :D

Holy...well...that was an impressive trailer. Wonderful choreography and visuals, enough to actually persuade me to buy this game after all.
We'll see. As a side note, I find it interesting that they managed to make the Sith leader look like Vader with his hood on, but still distinctly different once it's off.

I'll play this, but only if they have a sort of 'workin stiff' class: In stories like this I've always rooted for the poor shmuck that sorta got caught in the middle, is in MAY over his head, but manages to save the day when it really matters....Sadly, characters like that don't sell games like this :(

Doubtful. To borrow a line from Paul Barnett (the most dangerous man in gaming) "WoW is to MMOs what The Beatles were to music. No one can 'kill' The Beatles." And speaking as a cranky old gamer, I honestly wouldn't want them to: WoW's accessibility creates a nice salt-mine to store the toxic levels of stupid players/smack-talking 14 year-olds that infest it, leaving the rest of us to play in peace...

You need to score one of those "cooling Suits" that they wear under race car outfits. then you can "Troop out" even when the weather is oppressive. :)

For those wondering you don't only make Jedi and Sith, you can also create a Smuggler, A Trooper, or A Bounty Hunter. There is a great deal of story in the game you should visit the games website for all the wonderful backstory videos and the making of the planets videos.
You may also see what the other classes have in store for you! I do believe this will be an outstanding MMO and knowing that Bioware is doing this I don't see them destroying the essence of Star Wars the same way SOE did with Galaxies.

Wicked trailer...although being an MMORPG...makes me rethink on whether i should start on it...
Have heard of this MMORPG continuation of the KOTOR saga (also by Bioware) for ages now, been browsing Wookieepedia (the Star Wars wiki) lately and most certainly looking forward to this game. Most impressive trailer to date, though I wonder if the graphics in the game would be just as good as this?
From the info read so far, I think the classes would include Jedi, Sith, Bounty Hunter, Republic Trooper and perhaps Smuggler (the Han Solo type).
By setting this 3500 years before the Classic Trilogy era, this Star Wars game would probably be more successful than the previous Star Wars: Galaxies, which was set in the Classic Trilogy. Main reason? There's more Jedi and Sith, and it won't be so hard to become one. And let's face it, who doesn't think Jedi and Sith aren't cool? ;)
As for talk about this rivalling WoW, I don't know. It'll probably sell well in English-speaking countries and in Europe, but I don't know other areas. AFAIK, Star Wars is only moderately successful in the Chinese-speaking world.
WoW's insane success lies on its ability to draw people who know jack-all about the Warcraft lore to participate as well, so it'll all depend on whether TOR can pry lay gamers (non SW-literate people) away from WoW.
Still, enough to interest me to want to give it a try, but I have to consider what effect it'll have on my social life first. (Which was why I avoided WoW in the first place, because it's just "too good". xD )

Indeed, very jucy trailer and i wouldn't mind to give it a go, even though i didn't play SWG or any other themes MMOs aside from the standart "dragon slaugther" ones which are placed in a medieval timeframe.
Since my MMO Community (Xanadu) is considering it... i might end up there too, EU Servers though. ;)

Even tho The Secret World is from Funcom who messed already with Age of Conan... the trailer looks interesting and i think that game has more story then just PVP like Age of Conan hehe... ;) Has a slice of Resident Evil...
AION is considered to be a WoW killer, considering they keep what the gameplay trailers and all promise... well... i will be keeping an eye on those three.

And i doubt somehow that depending on the rumors and roots of the game it will be an "asia grinder" - though thats why i gona at least try it.

Been following this game since wya back when it was first announced and am still on the edge of my seat to see more updates on how it is going. It's just to bad that this game is a LONG way off from being finished. :( I want my Star Wars nao! >.<
