Wow what an awesome video O.O I found it funny how the trains stopped just like the cars did I always thought they just kept going.

Just a question, because I was there in April too and thought the island is called Miyajima and that the shrine is called Itsukushima... was I that wrong?

Actually watching this video gives me thoughts opposite from Jotham's. It reminds me of the days when I was a kid looking out the window, just watching the world go by, instead of getting caught up in all the demands of modern adult life.
I see all these trains, cars and people rushing to go places, but I'm really glad that I am the observer and not them. Anyone feel the same way?

me too..
a world where everything besides you just flies by and me just silently innocently observe everything goes by. no worries no hush no rush.
just like what lain said at the end of the series, that she should be just a god that quietly observe everything without interfering.
btw, this video in HD is sugoi desu!

Yeah, it was one of my childhood fantasies to just be a spirit or deity that watches everything go by: year to year, generation to generation.
Anyways, if you like this video, try Samuel Cockdey.

Why do some people disable embedding on their Youtube video?
Is there a simple reason for that? I don't really get it.
Especially now when you can add info right into the video, so it can't be because they want you to read the info on the webpage, right?
I could somewhat understand disabling comments and making videos private obviously makes sense.

Kinda hard to imagine that a few decades back, this city was almost erased from the face of the earth. Now it looks busy and lively.

Cool video, we have some trams here but not to that extent. They are very useful for getting into the city without having to drive.

Anyone else find it strange that the street-cars are all different styles and colours? Does Hiroshima have more than one transit company, or is Hiroshima transit just very eclectic?
College Freshmen
I don't really find time lapse videos that interesting, especially when it's just of people walking by. Trains aren't really that different to me. I remember seeing one of a ship though. That was cool.

*thumbs up* ~ I really loved this video.
Always been fascinated with time lapse videos, and in addition to the question from Veeediot...
My take is and correct me if I am wrong ~
Is that the difference in colours and styles of the street-cars are related to the particular area that they travel to and from and are for such to make them easier to distinguish?
Cool vid all-round!

The 5DII is an incredible camera. If the upcoming 60D doesn't fix the ISO and AF issues in the 50D, I might just take the plunge and get the 5DII.

And to think that just sixty odd years ago, this city was wiped off the face of the planet. Thanks for including the Dome. What vibrant colors! What life! Thanks, DC. You've got a great way of restoring my faith in humanity at just the right times! In spite of the BS, people WILL persevere!

It's a nice place to be...it's not as hectic as Tokyo. i've been there once before for company training and the sights and sounds you take in are amazing. i got somewhat mixed feelings after visiting the A-Bomb memorial site and museum.
To think about what they did to most of Asia during the war and what they got after the war was over.(if you have watched studio Ghibli's Grave of the fireflies before, then going through the museum will really gut you out.!_).
Miyajima on the other hand is a really cool island. It's listed as one of the world's heritage sites if i'm not mistaken, and one of Japan's oldest shrines is located there too. My advice to ppl going to Miyajima for a visit would be watch out for the little "black Skittles" all over the place....ehhehehee:P
hmm..i need to upload those pics i have on my blog one of these days.heheehehhehe
