I really like the first desk, after image of course. It feels homely.

I love my desk even it is very simple, will grow figure empire bits by bits ^^

Some of those desks seem suspiciously clean and un-otakuish.

Though some of them look like trash dumps. I don't know how people live like that.

This is my simple "Italian" desk, with my PCs (I use a KVM switch), my Ultra Magnus figure (the only toy I have saved from my nephows!!!), my favorite airsoft gun (H&K G36C)...

Nice desks as if that hasn't been said before. I noticed a lot of the computer desks do not have chairs. I wonder how comfortable that is.

Wow that's a huge change... how can anyone get their room/desk to become that dirty. A lot of the rooms are small, but I like how innovative some are... Like the desk with all the blow dryers underneath...

Holy the 'before' and 'after' pic was epic. I can't imagine a person living in that kind of environment...Not for me since I'm like a freak when it comes to cleanliness and I seriously hate messy or dirty workplace / desk. I would be constantly tempted to clear those mess away ^^

Desks are lame!

You don't know what you're missing until you network pc's to another room/bedroom with 46 inch full HD LCD TV, surf and watch anime in luxury while reclining on a electric adjustable bed. Blue Tooth mouse and mini BT keyboard are pre requisites (use with inbuilt touchpad mouse control and do away with separate mouse if need be) Hospital height adjustable bedside table for phone,gadgets and snacks. This is what a "friend" of mine uses daily, he hardly ever uses his office pc with 2 x 24 inch screens anymore.

Wonder where all the stuff from 'before' went! Can kinda imagine many plastic bags at another corner of the room :P LOL also loled at the one with stacked boxes. Those desks without figures and stuff around doesn't feel otaku, maybe they are 'closet otakus'?

I'm quite ashamed, even some of these 'before' ones look much neater than my desk ;_;

Well, if my desk is pasted with all sorts of anime posters and games, is this considered as a slight feel of otaku desk? =)

my computer is not placed on my desk cause my desk is filled with books and coloring stuff...so i placed my computer in a small desk which is really meant for computers >n<

Those are some awesome rooms.
I really like the one with the concrete walls, I always wanted a separate room like this in which I could do my design stuffies and work without distraction.

I really don't get why so many people have Sidewinders. There's no reason to buy them. The IME 3.0 is just as good and it's only $30.

it's funny how all these rooms posted by the japanese DC community is very empty on figures and toys... whereas overseas EVERYONE tries to incorporate as many figures and toys as possible hahah

It seems like otaku outside Japan are more into figures (or at least displaying them) and the Japanese otaku have more gadgets/technology on their desks. At least that is what the pictures seem to tell. :D Still, it's nice to see that something as simple as photos of desks can bring the world closer together in a way. d(^.^)b

Im really into the minimalistic type setups the jap readers have.

They have some really nice desks there. I like some of the equipment a few of them have.
The comments about our desks are rather interesting, I can't help but lol at a few of them.
And someone there must really like Louise. The before and after shots are great.

They've got some pretty nice setups, but I don't think I'd be comfortable with the Japanese style of having everything so low to the floor. I think I'd end up even more hunched-over.

Definitely prefer these desks over that of much of the contestants though there was one ( not Alodia's ) that I thought was very nice.

On a side note since I have as yet to get a response from support @ dannychoo dot com, is anyone else having an issue with not being able to log in with their password and not having any luck changing the password? My primary account has been having this issue for a day or two ever since the site was having trouble with posting or it was shut down when people were complaining about the winner.

LOL so funny if you send some eroge figures i don't most of them will be happy :)
and on those stacking figures in box its look more like a warehouse.
I think its must better to think before you buy new figures or other things must think first how to organist for a better view and for easy cleaning.

First photo is amazing. Very modern lighting and walls. Not digging the equipment on the floor though and I feel like they can use a nice black la-z-boy in the middle of the room. Placement of the two computers is kind of weird. Love the painting there while the projector screen is up. I would comment on the other rooms, but this room is just too amazing.

My desk gets cluttered with so much paperwork i don't take any pictures of my room. It also doesn't help that im moving in about a week.

It didn't take long for the photo to get out on the Japanese Internets. I seen several of them floating around tumblr the day after Danny announced the winners. This last contest was one of the best!

Some of them reminded me of my old setup: everything on the floor including the keyboard, monitor, and mouse.

Some Japanese desk are so neat and tidy while others are so messy covered with cup noodles and pet bottles ^^;. I like a lot of the desk set ups though.

Man love the first two pictures (the header one and the "cleaned up one")... The first is way cool in an industrial/minimalist way and the second is awesomely mid-century in a way. Little stand alone book shelf thing: do want!

Nice Eames Eiffel chair there as well. In fact some very sweet spaces indeed. Love some of the audio setups as well :D
