The work for public park is Kouen [公園] and we talk out after dindins walk at the new one nearby our house that was recently completed.

Is it me or I sense typo :O Anyways, the park is very well lit.. the lights look kinda harsh ^^"

But actually isn't it nice having a well lit public area at night? The park near my house has NO lights at all....I'm afraid to get stabbed if I go there at night...

The lights do look kinda harsh, but I think that's only because of the long exposure.

      it's more like grammatical error...

maybe what danny meant was something like this :

hey everyone, i have a question and would like to ask the opinion from all of you..so the question is which one is better to buy in the terms of price, picture quality, accessories (3rd party) between Canon powershot G10 and Panasonic Lumix LX3 (same with the one owned by danny)....
    thanks...

I'd go for the Lumix since it has a 24mm f/2.0 lens, which is almost a stop faster than the G10. That plus 720p HD!

That's not much of a park...more like a small plaza or something, the whole thing is paved over!

While Tokyo seems to have really awesome/interesting urban design, it seems very little of it involves any grass, plants, or trees at all.

There are plenty of large, open green areas in the city (large parks, gardens connected to shrines and temples, the imperial palace gardens, etc.) This would be tipical of a small park in the middle of a residential neighbourhood. Yes, the backyard of a typical American suburban home would definitely qualify as a park in Tokyo.

    We have parks that have bars for chin ups and things like that here but it doesn't look half as nice or clean as it does over there ^^;

Danny I've always wonder since you take so many photos. Have you ever gotten in trouble for taking photos in stores and things...Most of the time I'm worried about talking photos especially in stores in case I get in trouble. Or do you sneak photos? Since your camera is quite large compared to other smaller digital cameras wouldn't it be quite hard?

I have yet seen a park that small so far.. Are there no basketball courts etc.? Parks over here are large, usually have public courts and a vast field in the back for various sports.

Parks over here are ancient though.. The staffs just re-paints over the part where they see rust and what not. Would love to visit a newly made park for a change.. ^^

Great photos Danny! The pull up bars have multiple bars on it, that's strange. The pull-up bars in my country are always designed this way - 2 poles and a bar.

The second shot was really good. Your photography skills amaze me as always :)

That sorta parks looks like one of those places people would hang out.
Too much grey though, don't see much greenery there. I guess if they added some grass there, it would die pretty fast from people walking all over it.

If only they made that bar so people can do backflips and stuff on it. Like the gymnast do.

Nice photos. There aren't to many parks around my area, and what few we do have are far to small and generally lack enough shade (which doesn't make much sense when you're in a desert -_-;).
Although I have heard of one park here that is suppose to be amazing, I need to find the time to go and see it.

Great pics as usual. My Canon SD1100 digi cam doesn't give the same great quality pics at night. Maybe its because of the crappy orange lighting we have for street lights here.

Parks here where I live have grass and swings, not bars. Now you can see why Japan is more healthy than the United States lol

That park is soooo much cleaner and brighter than the parks here. You should have got more than just two pictures, I want to see more of the park. ^_^
The parks here are scary at night, what with it being dark and having lots of homeless people. @_@
