I objectify women. I love not just attractive women, but sexy women. I love it when women show off the shape and form of their bodies whether clothed or not. I make no excuses, pretence nor apologies for it. I am a man, and I like the way women look. (The way some think, act or behave is another rant entirely! Suffice to say I don't care for stupid women.)

But I REALLY dislike beauty contests like these. Not because of some high-minded feminist view or some such nonsense, but because it purports to take some sort of moral high-ground while selling advertising to a viewership which is largely attracted to the participants because they are sexy and beautiful. And these women are essentially unpaid for their time and trouble and hope to win a contrived title and maybe some scholarship.

I'm not against porn or sexual oriented business in the least. But these beauty contests ARE a sexual oriented business that lies about itself and leaves most of the participants without compensation while the controllers and owners of the contest itself make hundreds of millions if not billions off of these girls.

As far as 2-D is concerned, Mio and Haruhi would be my top two choices right now. Then again, Haruhi already has the title as kami-sama so I think it would be ok to give Mio.

Well at least she look better than the 2007 winner who was also japanese. for me I can't decide between Mio or Tsumugi, but Sawa-chan is gaining some attention too :P

I generally seem to find super models less attractive than many lower echelon models. I think it might be that I like people a little quirky and super models are usually an agreed upon 'norm' of beauty.

i'm not interested in this kinda stuff much but it is good fun to watch.

You know I always wondered why most Japanese girls seem to dislike non-Japanese men.

During fresher's week at Uni (the very first week before classes start, which you're meant to spend socialising and meeting other students) all Japanese girls would start dating other Japanese guys almost immediately. You can't imagine the frustration for the rest of us.
