Why can't they keep it permanently. I would love to see it one day, but by that time, it would probably be pulled down.
Judging by the looks of those legs... It doesn't look like its going to be very stable. Probably that's why they'll tear it down soon afterward.

that's insanely cool, of course only in japan would this not look out of place...whilst the rest of the world get pieces of 'art' erected that according to the 'artist' are a symbol of future/hope/courage/love etc. etc. (delete as required) which only look good to similar minded ppl.

I bet there'll be some nice low light photos once this is finished (my idea, intellectual property applies!)

That is really neat. On a tangentially related note: I've always liked the walls and various other things that get put up around constructions sites in Japan so they aren't the eyesore the ones where I'm at end up being. Then again, there's no building a fence that tall. How are they accounting for high speed winds?

This is just the beggining. In 2015 we will have Evas already, so it just cannot take much longer for us to see the first Gundams being built. lol

Bandai should really consider creating a museum full of 1:1 scale gundams of each series. Would honestly be an awesome attraction for Gundam Fans.

Yeah because up to now the only 1/1 there is in Bandai's museum is a Zaku head (・∀・)

Oh shoot. I just read somewhere on the internet that Bandai is only planning to have that Gundam up for 2 months and then they have to take it down. By the time I visit Tokyo, it'll proabably already have been taken down. Nooooooo!!!!!! T_T

Muddasick!!! This is so flippen solid. I wish I could be there in Japan when they are finished building it. Actually I wish I lived in Japan. Thanks to you Danny I feel so close to Japan. Japan is my dream within a dream. Currently I have built to master grade Gundams (CrossBone X1 & Strike Freedom) I have yet to start my first perfect grade one, but after seeing this I am even more inspired to start and complete it.... I can't wait to see more updated pics.

So, has there been any update to confirm just how long that Gundam will stay up? Or will my hopes of getting a photo of it at ground zero be dashed by the time I visit in late September?
