The club is the Sakurakou keionbu, where Sakurakou is the name of the school, and けいおんぶ (keionbu) translates to 'light music club.' The series gets its name from that word, shortening it into けいおん, and can be rewritten in english as 'K-on.'

WOW another awesome stormtrooper video. Danny just posted the Roppongi Trooper video quite recently. Love the videos as always and also the very small part where you were dancing w/o the helmet. Maybe I should start watching this anime series, as I don't really watch anything new which I should...once I'm through with finals.

Broad question: Is K-ON a good anime? Just asking b/c I don't know any better and what is it about?

In all honesty, I went into K-ON not expecting anything at all, and trying not to buy into the hype that everyone (including Danny) was expressing. At first I thought "hey, this isn't so bad, and it's by KyoAni, so it's bound to be good, since I loved every single thing they've put out so fa-- MIO *.*" Now after the singles I'm totally hooked. I was totally prepared to shelve this series until it ended to watch it all in one sitting, but the characters just sucked me in o.O

My recommendation, hit up the first few eps, get a feel for the series, then make a decision. I'm looking forward to where this series is going, and am thinking about picking up the 4koma tankubon (sp?) if I can find it ^o^v

Yes you are the best stormtrooper ever! I think I saw some of those new moves from a previous video in there. Is there usually external sound going on when you dance? Cause i'd imagine it would be pretty strange if there wasn't. Your video seems to be some sort of promotion for the stores you were dancing infront of.

Clever video, but "Tokyo Dance Trooper" is still my favourite. I that that magical moment where everyone in akihabra stopped in the street to dance. Pretty hard to beat that.

    Awesome video, Danny.
Do you find that as it starts getting warmer you can't spend as much time dancing in your armor? Seems like it would get rather warm with the layers that you wear as well as having a helmet on.

As for the poll question, I'll have to go with ミク命 (if that's even correct). ^^

OK, my Trooper figure just came in via Snailmail...a little bigger than 1/6 scale but not ScaleFail next to my 1/6 horde because TKs are supposed to be big and intimidating. For example, here's what happens when one of the 501st's finest meets a 5' 2" Jedi...

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/msgeek/287967796/

Of course, Yumiko-tan does cosplay better than I do...arrggghhh...

Anyway, I want to transform this standard-issue TK figure into the Tokyo Dance Trooper. I now have a good reference for the Kanji on your breastplate thanks to this article, and some good reference material for the non-standard bags you have hanging on your armor...special issue for OtaTroopers? ^_^

However I don't have a ref for the kanji on your armband. And this TK figure has a "beer can" on his back, unlike your armor, so I gotta figure out how to remove it without damaging the very nicely executed armor.

I will take pix of him and post on Figure.FM. Unfortunately he can't go "buckets off" because the bucket IS his head.
