Believe it or not... i know some folks who are just so into mechas...they even have strange fetish about mechas (like saying that certain female mechas are sexy and do turn them on, like gundam 00's gn archer for example..)

oh and before you ask... i don't have the same fetish :D, still prefer 2d or 3d girls than mecha when it comes to things that turn on (honest!)

as for those ironmans, very cool and shiny... can't justify myself for buying one though...

and that chogokin valkyrie looks nice enough, but i think you can improve the look by applying marker on the lines danny...

Mecha are all sexy, wheather they have sharp edges or curvy organic lines. Its good to see some pics of mecha on this site. Everything was turning to "girl" toys. Bring on the mecha. Good to see the RX-78 also :)

So I miss read the bit about 22 yen off, thinking it was being sold for 22 yen and I was like "what is the catch!?" Went to the website and than I was like "opps read it wrong". Bad eyes are bad sometimes. Need new glasses I think (especially since the 1 year old nephew had a field day with them the other day)

Speaking of bad eyes, I seemed to miss any mentioned of that awfully intimidating camera in the bottom picture. I assume a present from those nice folks you worked with recently ?

I love the MK II too.
Probably because it's design gives it a realistic, mechanical feel to it.
The Valkyries from Frontier is also my favorite because of it's natural look in it's Battroid mode. You can't even tell which part makes up a part of it's Fighter mode.

For the price of those Iron Man figures, I could save up another couple hundred and just get a Dollfie. >.> Still, the level of detail on them is really quite commendable, given that most action figures made from American material and/or geared towards Americans are presumed to be for kids under ten and thus have terrible quality.

Ryomou seems to have an odd sense of. . . coy violence. I don't know how else to put it! It's hilarious though.

Next would be the Iron Man Mk II... Love the less slick build of the armour... And it looks more like how Iron Man should be! Cos iron somehow connotes a more base or less sophisticated metal... than say, steel? And the gloss on Mk III really makes it look "plastic-ky"...

I am finding this century to be funny.

On Doctor Who, Tom Baker (June 1974- March 1981) was said to be the best Doctor. Then on June 2005, David Tennant came aboard and ended up becoming the best.

On James Bond, Sean Connery (1962-1967) was said to be the best version of 007. Then in 2006, many ended up saying that Daniel Craig is the best version of 007.

And now, I am hearing that Macross Frontier is the best. Better than the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross.

So yeah... Out of everything, minus the camera, it has to be the Valkyrie that I'd like to have (if given a choice). But I do, however, need a new camera... As I love taking certain kind of photos... And think that I could do better with a Nikon than a more portable Sony Cybershot. :3

it comes with the passing of time i garner. what we find cool now may turn out to be crap in future. Macross frontier and star trek ostensibly benefit from advances not just in the technological side of things, but creatively as well. For me, I don't have it in me to stomach all those corny lines in star trek or 007...

MK II is nice but I like the fully colored version since the color keep me thinking it's war machine rather than iron man...lol Ryomo and double decapitation fatality...This article seems so much more explicit since I don't remember the last time you used "nipples" and "crotch" in the same article...and well yeah what keeps bringing me back is that these articles are written from personal feelings and experiences that you think is worth your and your reader's time and not writing what someone tells you to...so keep up the great work Danny!

Wow, what an awesome lineup of toys! The iron mans are sweet, but man that Chogokin VF from Frontier is amaaaazing. I got the Michael version (the blue one, also known as the VF-25G with the sniper rifle), and it's also great. A tad hard to transform, and I also don't like super parts, but an amazing toy, that looks good in all modes. Thought that to be impossible. Can I post a link? Both of em are in my wish list for this year and hopefully my savings will be just enough to buy one of em this summer. The Iron Man figures are SO well made! I've seen several others of them in person and they look every bit this good. *__*

I'm really happy you've always stayed so true to yourself/dc members-viewers. I can buy figures and the like without worrying so much about "Will it look the same as [company picture?!]" and more of "When will it get here :D?!"

Too bad the Mk II figure has raised rivets. The Mk II in the movie had flush rivets. Another job for Danny's mecha weatherization specialist, perhaps?

It reminds me of the scene in The Aviator when Howard Hughes insists that his shiny metal plane have flush rivets to reduce drag. Since Hughes was Stan Lee's inspiration for the Tony Stark character, I wonder if the Iron Man filmmakers were influenced by that scene.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! WHYYY!!!??
Trence Howards should play War Machine not Donny! I have nothing against him but I've always liked when something starts and ends with the specific characters. No meshing. Oh, well... it sucks.
    Ion Mahn!
It was a cool movie! The OST rocks too! But the game:

Dont think I'll be ripping off the heads of the expensive shellhead figure if I ever own one.
I would put it on display as if its the cold cast stature.

The EVA watch only looks good.
Seems to me a simple bare bones digital watch apart from the EVA design.

Somehow I dislike digital watches that abbreviate the day to 2 characters.
I prefer abbreviation to 3 characters.

The prices do drop man it just takes time and other times you need to hunt down sites that sell it for cheaper. Got to admit one thing, the finish on both Iron Man is very professional and they both look truly amazing.

Like the Mk-II the most....I wonder if there's cosplay about it already. Not to say totally look like it but close to it, has the metal feel. Sounds cool imagine it walking on the street while attending the cosplay event, haha. But must install aircond inside. Else if you die in it also no one will know =D
