彼からの一言:-
Welcome all, to the Japanator takeover! I'm Brad Rice, a blogger running between New York and New Jersey, currently finishing up a double major in film and East Asian history at Syracuse University. Danny has invited me to guestblog here on the site for the next week. You might know me as "Dick McVengeance," the moniker I've used for years at Modern Method -- the triplet sites Japanator, Destructoid, and Tomopop.
I've been with Modern Method since its beginning, blogging about "the videogames" as a way to avoid going to math class. But in November of 2006, my boss dropped the website Japanator into my lap, and then I started making serious headway into the world of otakudom. From that point on, we've been on the rise fairly quick.
To give you an elevator pitch of Japanator: A little bit quirky, a bit perverted, and a whole lot of anime, Japanator talks about everything related to Japan. Like the food. Or the music. Subscribe to our RSS feed and you'll quickly see what we're all about. Our writers are based all around the US, so now that con season is upon us, we'll be chock full of con reports, cosplay photos, and podcasts aplenty.
You guys may have seen our figures site Tomopop already. We've quickly shot up to one of the largest figure-only blogs on the Internet. My time there is spent writing about the weird and perverse Japanese figures. Clearly something that I'm proud to have on my resume. My work on Destructoid has become intermittent due to running Japanator, but
I'd really like to thank Danny for giving me this opportunity to talk to all of you people. I've always been impressed with the dedication that Danny's had, and the empire that he's built out of it. I'd love to achieve the heights that he has, and I'm hoping that this guestblogging job will endear you guys to my writing.
And well, if that's not enough, here's us doing a dramatic reading from Yen Press' yaoi title Mr. Flower Bride.

Guest blogging in a "one-shot" way (if I got it right it's going to be temporary - but fully armed, charged and ready) is really a great opportunity, and some fresh air in this naughty naughty otaku community... :)
How not to hurray another comrade slipping in here ;)

To Brad... The man who is sacrificing his time, his skills, and possibly his clothes once he obtains a rabid hoard of fangirls that will want a piece of him but manage to get away with just parts of his clothing...
I salute you as you are doing something as important as Operation: Odessa. Any sacrifices will be known to those who remember your name. We will not see you as Matilda-san, as you will not crash this site just to save us all. Danny may not like that. :3
So here to you... The new main man! A man whose name I shall not forget. And with that said... I salute to you, the man named George! :3

An ex of mine kept trying me to grow out my hair a bit and dress up as Aizen. My hair gets really wavy like his when it's grown out, but horribly unkempt. Plus, I didn't want to shave the beard :<

Aizen, thats cool! I think the only person I might look like is Urahara if I were to grow my hair out again... which I plan on doing so maybe I try and make a sweet costume.

I must admit I'm a bit nervous and reserved about this - this site has been two-tiered for so long, after all. It's been either Danny...or one of the mass community. To be honest, the addition of something in between is a tad discomforting, especially since it's a completely new face.
But then again, that's just dealing with change. More news, another contributor - this could be a very awesome and interesting thing to happen. So welcome to DC, Brad! ^^
