Btw why is it fairlady Z? I thought it was called a 370Z? no? Maybe it's a Japan thing.

And not too sure about the chemist thing, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't make sense when you say "picking up some chemistry" lol. Some people in the UK call it a pharmacy too.

Erm if I am not wrong its 'full name' is Nissan 350Z Fairlady. I guess the model is 350Z while the 'codename' is fairlady. Heard somewhere from one of my car-fanatic female friend that this car is apparently designed by a lady. I didnt check it up though. So i could be wrong >.<

its the fairlady in japan because all cars have awesome names in japan... while in US, a car with must be either a lame eco car or super sport car.

              example:
              - eco car: civic, camery, etc
              - luxury but not super sport car: Mercedes E350, S550, S65, etc
              - super sport car: Gallardo, Enzo, etc.

I currently have a 3rd gen iPod nano. I got it as a gift after my 1st gen died. But seeing how the current iPod nano looks, as well as the iPod touch... as well as specks of dirt getting under my iPod... I plan to find a way to get a red next-gen iPod nano. Maybe an iPod touch.

But I definitely want to upgrade to the latest iMac since I have a G4 and a Sony Vaio laptop. Not happy with the laptop due to numerous issues. I mean... LOOK! They are giving out Dragon Ball Z toys at McDonald's!

well the ear buds do work, after you spend about 15 minutes on public transport looking like a twit while trying to force them into your ear. Then suddenly they sorta fit and noise from the outside world ceases...all there is is your music from misc mp3 player. kinda surreal really.

in australia chemists are called chemists but that hardly counts, does it.

Ear buds work better in noise cancellation. The bass also sounds better than most other regular earphones excluding those high end ones which cost a bomb.

I personally prefer ear buds since they are more comfortable to put on for long periods of listening. Earphones usually cause slight pain/discomfort for me after around an hour of use.

It's an old style flash gun. The light sabers from the first two Star Wars movies were made on the cheap. Vader's and Luke's were flash guns while Obiwon's was made from plumbing parts and part of a hand grenade.

What a fun and busy filled week. i really want to try that dessert with ice cream.

Also i agree with NPC, why would one pay for earphones that cost around $148 that's pretty much day-light robbery, it better be able to do something special heh. But getting free is a different story ^_^

i own a ipod shuffle, and to be honest, Apple could of designed the docking charger abit more sturdy, the metal part, i think its called a 'jack', bends easily. Gonna be staying away from shuffles >_<

Haha... I own those exact v-moda earphones except mine are chrome silver. Great bass and very clear, but I wish it had a legit case instead of that pouch. Heard good and bad things about them, but so far no problems for me.

Use to house my ipod touch in a nice leather case, but the humidity in China totally wrecked it. I dropped my ipod before, so it has a ding in the corner, but no internal damage. Now I just have it in one of those silicon cases which does a good job in protecting it casing, and allows easy access to the screen.

Also, your new mouse looks eerily similar to my Logitech mouse. Weird.

Did your wife cook the Laksa? The color of the soup look more like curry/hokkien mee or is it because added coconut milk?

£30,000 pounds price tag from an auction for a genuine movie equipment is quite common among wealthy bidders.

You may use decoration LED for CPU casing as it only need 12V battery to power up.

That looks like one hot bowl of curry Mikuru served up. About hand writing. I can't even read my own signature lol. Was a self automechanic changing out transmissions, engines, rebuilding so I busted my hands up when wrenches and pry bars slipped a lot. Then forever I did tree trimming every house we were owned and wrapped rope around my hand to pull it tight, the cut wood, pulling the branches from a big pile into a small deal that would roll easily. Well ended up cracking my hands down the center in a way. I can type but hurts to hold a writing pen for a minute.

I can suggest what I also am trying, get a tablet pc / pen deal and practice your signature and some words daily till you can sign your name like a professional race car driver... :D

Congratulations on your success of Mirai Inc. hopefully it'll continue to grow, although I am curious about the pictures on the glassboard behind you two, is that a picture of oppai in the upper-left in the 'detail' box?

Also I was never really satisfied with my handwriting until I started writing in all upper-case letters and then just changing the size of the letter to denote if it's upper or lower case, it's probably a bad habit but since it makes my writing legible I don't really mind.

I bought the first iPod (5 GB) a month after its release back in 2001. It was an impulse buy to celebrate my job offer from another company, my second job in Manhattan with a much better salary. My second and current iPod is the forth generation (20 GB click wheel). It was an eBay second hand purchase which had j-tunes, that was the main selling point. It was my first introduction to Japanese pop, rock, etc music, that was in 2004.

was in Tokyo last week too, just back last nite. Yup, was freezing. didn't expect it to drop to as low as 2C. had to buy a pair of oversized gloves at Lawsons. ;)

I've got a rubberized/silicone protector for my 32GB iTouch and the back is scratched pretty badly too I must say. I think its much worse with the case on. But there are other types of cases which can prevent such scratches.

One good one is by NeoTouch. There's an additional layer thingy between the case and the surface of the back to prevent the case from scratching the surface of the iTouch.

Another good protector is by BodyGuardz, though its not really a case per se. More like a plastic coating/screen protector thingy which covers the whole body. More info can about it here http://www.bodyguardz.com/

The purple dye in the hair of Japanese grandmother, old, from Japan's most prestigious was the color purple. Purple class and the twelve-layered ceremonial kimono made of Prince Shotoku and color are important. Italy red, some countries have an important and purple colors of Yamato Japan is interesting.

    Nice photos! Now I have a nendoroid to buy ; ;

I have the iPod Touch 2G and just use a clear hard plastic case and screen protector. I want those apps that guy has! Wonder if his device is jailbroken.

I run a server with Server 2008 Pro. While Mac OSes are nice and easy to use they actually are the least secure OS. You don't hear about it because Macs only have like 5-10% of the market so people don't actively attack it like Windows. I'm not as crazy as a friend who runs server 2008 then runs virtual machines for server core, linux, unix and sharepoint.

Another beautiful week in Tokyo. I got a hardshell acrylic case for my iPod Touch. It's nifty because it comes with a built-in stand on the back for easy viewing and use while I eat.

Oh and that app where you can interact with 3d characters, i.e. blowing on mic = panchira, is called iDollViewer by JETMAN. Fun 5* app.

Not 3 months after I buy my 30gb when they announced they were phasing those models out and dropping the 80gb ones to the same price point. I'm still unsure as to whether to get an iPhone. I'm waiting until my current contract for my mobile finished, way in July. Only problem is, I've already got an iPod classic 80GB and an iPhone costs quite a bit of money. For every reason I can think of getting an iPhone, I can think of another to not get one. Hopefully its true about a newer model with possibly more memory coming out in the summer.

hello Danny, a comment for the photo:
I regret that the Italian style pizza made in a rubber like Daikanyama and apparently only the style that resembles.

pc or mac high power (for its class) are always a bit of noise you can make to resolve fan with lower rpm but you should know that the average temperature increases of work.

My website on the web / ftp server in a garage pc P3-1ghz, 512mb ram, 200GB hdd, Wakeup-on-lan enabled, windows xphome.

The new seat "Italian", around the corner .... beautiful,
    but you know that garlic is very good but without exaggeration;
it seems that that type of bread or Focaccia with oregano and olive oil, but I do not know what we do with the "pasta".
The "pasta" is fine by itself, no need to accompany it.

I like both the ramen, yakisoba, and that one photo must be delicious.

    good work Danny

As far as hosting my own server at home, I wish. Been researching it for a while, and have seen the articles about minis being able to act as servers. Interested to know how much of a load they can handle, not that my little site is that demanding. Certainly thinking of getting one soon just to play around with the idea.

I myself own an iPhone 16Gb Black. I just got a replacement as there are no repair center in Singapore. My iPhone went kaput on me during CNY 2009. My iPhone looks kawaii without a cover, so why dressing up one for? For accessories, I bought a belt pouch, a 3rd-party USB to iPhone connector and an anti-glare screen protector for my iPhone. Also bought an Apple Universal Dock to charge and sync.

The laksa looks great and I love the prawns un-shelled and the stock looks the perfect colour. The cucumber for the chicken rice are a bit elongated. Is that cucumber a local produce? Never seen one like that here. As for the rice and chicken, it looks like its from Singapore. As I'm just join dannychoo.com recently, I just want to know is your wife from the same locale as you, British Chinese?

If you are rich, there is no point buying and keep more that one car.

Yesterday I went to KKnM @ Sunshine Plaza to collect a prize that I won from COSPA lucky draw. I also book a few figures and I will post a few pics once I gets them and when I'm eligible to upload in this website. Also bought Shakugan no Shana DVD collection, Slayer Gorgeous DVD and Fruits Basket -Four Seasons- Audio CD from Ani-Play. Also bought U/C PS3 Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition and "super rare" Fate/unlimited codes SP-BOX Figma SP-004 with PS2 game, the elusive "Saber Lily". Now waiting for U/C PS3 Resident Evil 5 Collector's Edition. =)

By the way, Logitech and Logicool may be the same company, but the other company is called Logitec minus the "h". Any problem with the Business Registrar in Japan? Weird...

Great Week of photos and comments once again, Danny. ^__^

Used to spend hours on G5s when I did my Masters at uni. Probably the most volatile Mac machines I've ever used IMO, as they actually crashed/restarted quite often during my uni days. We were running 1st gen G5s on 2gb of memory doing heavy graphics stuff like After Effects, Maya and the Adobe suite.

Me a sucker for tv ads, too. New ads on KFC Tower burger back, we went and had a meal of it!

Love Hainanese Chicken Rice (when done right)- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hainanese_chicken_rice!!

    Drool XP~~~ @ Focal's production room equipment.

When I got my iPhone, I quickly and regretably picked an EXO silicone case for it. Didn't like it much as it had a weird rubber texture and would pick up any type of lint or fluff from my pockets (it was black). Then my waifu found a Griffin Wave (black & clear) case (http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/wave3g) and it's the best one I've seen for the iPhone. It hugs it really nice and doesn't add any bulk to the size or weight. Feels great & doesn't slip on any surface. Has a semi-clear back that lets you still see the shiny Apple logo. The design is kinda of reminescent of the original iMacs.

MMmmmm, love a good bowl of hot spicy laksa myself, too. I like how they have the 2 different noodles in there.

My hand writing IMO is pretty awful but legible if I'm not in much of a hurry. Although female friends have said that I have pretty nice hand writing for a guy! Don't know if that's a compliment or an insult!?! : As for voice recording or taking audio notes, I'd recommend you hold off until you get your new iPhone, Danny. Since the currently 3G version have voice record and you can always get the Evernote app (http://evernote.com/about/download/iphone/) for it. From what I've read, it's a pretty cool app for taking any sort of notation including audio/voice recording.

Hmm, why do elderly Japanese ladies have purpled dyed hair?! Is it a latent anime fetish??? I've noticed a lot of elderly Asian (pardon the stereotype) ladies here and in HK have red or crimson dyed hair a lot.

We call them Chemist or Pharmacy here in Australia.

The new Italian place looks and sounds good. They even have a traditional woodfire pizza oven!

Danny, I can't understand how you would call your writing bad. I mean sure, I guess it could be improved, but we can read it, right? In Grade 7, I had to do hundreds of those letter-tracing sheets that teachers give to kindergarteners to learn to write. It helped somewhat, but my writing still resembles a continuous line when I am in a hurry.

Great to hear your company's doing well despite the global economic downturn, though it's always good to stay vigilant and have contingency plans, just in case. ^^ Come to think of it, does Danny have any idea how the anime industry is affected by this credit crunch? And what ways are there to adapt to these challenges?

but I must say, while not the caliber of a pro-camera, your Panasonic PAS Camera takes excellent images for your blog. I'm continually amazed at your image clarity here (you need expodisc for white balance, but that's easily fixable) and since you bracket every image you always have clarity too.

Your camera has a Leica/Zeiss glass, it shows. You must get the new Canon, it would suit your needs on this blog perfectly.

I don't know if there's any laws requiring smoke detectors over here or not (there probably are, and it's probably left up to individual states), but I've never even been in a house without one. Even that scary old house from the 1940's with the lead pipes that was on the tick's knickers that sucks the back end of nowhere I lived in ages ago had one.

As for portable voice recording devices, I do know that there are some that connect to iPods and the like, though I don't know the details of them. It would be a good idea to look into one, I think, since you're looking to get an iPhone which you'll probably be tethered to anyway. =P

Danny, you really need custom Mirai and Haruka dollfies. Get your sponsors to get you a couple blank bodies and heads, and commission someone to do the face-ups and/or wigs. (I would love to, and think I could pull off the faces, but I won't be able to say whether I'm up to doing custom wigs until I make the one for my mom's 1/6 scale blood elf dollfie next week. ^^; )

    Ah.

For a pen that has a voice recording tool, I think it was called a SMART Pen. basically when you write a note and talk it records your voice and takes note of the location of the dots where you wrote. So touching what you wrote with the tip of your pen will playback what you said.

    Pretty cool technology.

Alot of the gadgets shown in this post has alot of zeroes in their price tags... Know any place where a student can get the same thing but at huge discounts?
