先ずは紫のセーター。おっぱいのお肉がいっぱい見えるのも注文通りです^^;

http://ameblo.jp/10be/entry-10098670244.html

Volks

Oksy, fine. You win, Danny. Happy? This article has finally converted me from neutral to casual fan. x_x

Still never going to get one (price of original dollfie aside, clothes = NOT cheap). Money better spent on other things. But I like admiring them so long as their joints aren't obvious.

Hm. Just a tag-on regarding Macs and heat - I'm not too sure, but I'm guessing it has a lot to do with the entire aluminium body being used as a heatsink. My MBP definitely heats up a lot since I leave it on so often, and after prolonged use my left palm gets irritated. Also, touching the back of the MBP (where the fan is) with bare skin for longer than a second could result in a minor burn.

If there's one complaint I have about the Macbook, it's the heat issue. It's no joke.

Just had my plastic Dell overheat and shut down on me. I think stable heat would be better than damaging heat.
        Also doubles as pizza warmer.

      hahah my thoughts exactly... it's been a slow long road from "ewww dolls... creepy" to, "mmm well, the joints are kinda unsightly..." to... "wow, it's a 1/3 figma" to... "mmmm kawaii na~~" ^^;;

      at this point i just pray the cost keeps me from making the plunge. ^^;

Except I'd probably try to hook up a Reinforce Zwei outfit XD Sadly though, I cannot, maybe in the future if my salary increases or I get a better job T_T It doesn't cost much to look though, but it'd be nice if you had a smiling dollfie, Danny ^^;

I'm not sure if Volks ships to the Philippines, though I think they ship all but the licensed limiteds worldwide. However, I can safely say that you definitely need a blank body and a head. Depending on which head you pick, you may also need to pick out a pair of acrylic or glass eyes, in a size between 18 and 22 millimeters; the size is completely your choice, as is the type of eye. You'll also need hair, either as a premade wig in an 8-9 inch circumference size, or as loose hair you make into a wig yourself. (You can get loose hair at http://www.dollyhair.com/orderhair.htm, and http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=113387 is a great reference on wig making.)

Then there's the matter of clothes. Those can get expensive if you buy them pre-made or get them commissioned. You could also make them yourself, and you can find free patterns with some patience and a little Google-fu.

. . . Can you tell I've been thinking along the same lines as you? XD

The Haruhi Dollfie dance was pretty good I never seem to get tired of seeing how many different ways it can be done. Johnathan Ross's video story was most excellent. If I could fit them in model cars and model monster trucks with a auto racing helmet on I could probably have use for a whole fleet of them. You know, prior to Anime figurines, I would never buy a doll if it wasn't a gift for a girl. There then came in the last 1990s a change, Barbie Dolls made Nascar Driver dolls. There was this Bill Elliott Nascar Barbie, while I personally didn't go hand select it and pay for it in person I did buy it. So I guess that was my 1st doll. Then came those Sailor Moon action ones which I did buy in person. . . . . (Never bought any 'dolls' since) In any case, GRIN, much as the feeling to start ordering happens I cannot pass the self no switch on ordering these LOL!

The Dollfies are beautiful and it is even more amazing now with the custom made stuff.

I'll have to admit when Danny first started posting about Dollfies I was really turned off to them, same as the figmas because of the joints. Well I now own multiple figmas and am definitely loving the Dollfies looks and posablity.
I can't afford one myself, but I definitely do love looking at them. One day if I ever happen to have $1000 drop into my lap I'll definitely buy one.

What absolutely great pics! I echo the sentiment of litokid – I'm sold too now. Just a quick look around to see where I could get one, but flipping heck they're not cheap!

So I will vicariously own one through you for the foreseeable – if that's OK of course! (o_~)

I used to think all BJD are a bit creepy looking, like they'd come alive in the middle of the night and strangle the owner or grab a large kitchen knife and start the stabbing (I think it was mainly influence by movies like Chucky and this Japanese horror movie called Doll Master).

I really like the long hair on Saber and her facial expression seems to be cuter and friendlier than Aoi in my opinion.

Hope you get that long hair wig for Aoi-chan soon Danny. ^__^

Gaaaaaaah. Your Dollfie photo shoots are sweet torture, Danny.

Quite honestly, I'm surprised it took me this long to really want one, considering what a customization dork I am. I've made several custom My Little Ponies; it's a relatively short leap of logic from them to Dollfies. The big leap from ponies to DDs though is the price tag. . . But even that is starting to pale in comparison to my desire for a blank M bust DD to turn into one of my own characters.

I'm under the impression that the way DDs are put together are different than other BJDs... Because there are a lot of restringing guides floating around the interwebs, and the BJDs in my house are all strung.

One thing that worries me a bit, is that you used marker on the resin... Won't the resin become stained? D: [then again, it's probably not a problem if you choose to never remove it...]

I would get one if there was a Code Geass CC Dollfie. Perhaps I can get the Saber one (cause I like that one too) and then get someone to make a CC outfit for it? Then I can always swap depending on me mood. What do you guys think?

The clip on the wig should be fine. Just remember to never tug on it.

Doll wigs are typically made of plastic. These plastics aren't able to bounce back if stretched. So never pull on them in any way. If hair is stuck on the clip, just try your best to gently loosen it. If worse comes worse you'll be tempted to tug, but I would recommend cutting the hair off instead. Since the tugged hair will either be bent, curly, or just go in wonky directions which makes the wig messier. At this point you may have to cut off the strands either way or use some dollie hair saving methods.

I wrote a blog post on how to take care of hair called "7 Ways to Tame a Wig": http://dollicio.us/?p=75

It includes tips on getting hair back to it's original condition if you ever do tug on your dolly's hair(Shame on you.)

I hope this helps, and please post more pictures of dollfies!(Especially Saber!) Feel free to ask me any more dolly questions that you have by the way or just check out my blog(it's just started out a week ago though, still trying to hammer out all hair related tips, then I'm gonna move on to eyes, and so on.)

Oh, on the subject of pupils. One of my girl dolls came with airbrushed pupils straight from the company. That was really surprising!

By the way, do you plan on going to any of the Dollpas? You can get some really stunning outfits there. =]
