I did something like this on my friend's textbook, but its kinda nsfw.... ^^;

reminds me how me and my mates used to do this too as well. ^^;
i don't kinda really encourage doing it as it is kinda disrespectful.

wtf Ryuk and Itachi lol. Last time i did this was drawing my history textbook's Vladamir Lenin into Yuri (Red Alert 2) about 3-4 years ago.

Wow, someone must of been rather bored while in class.
I didn't ever draw directly on the book back in highschool, just the protective cover. And in college I like to sell my books back to the bookstore so I usually try to keep them in good condition.

My friends do this all the time..
But just random drawings though, damn funny as well ^_^

My professors usually distribute a risographed/xeroxed version of their lecture notes and it means additional scrap and notes papers for me. Though generally for textbooks, I dont draw on them unless they're in cheap newsprint :P

Yup, I did... but not as interesting as this guy's ones- kept my better drawings on 'cleaner' paper^^

I actually never did anything like that because I can't draw. My textbooks are full of scribbled notes though...

That guys classes must have been really boring for him do do all that.

As much as I hate vandalism - which is precisely what doodling in a textbook is, if you don't own it - these are ingenious. It's funny how well they fit.

Wow those are some good drawing schools XD I'd turn it into the teacher and ask for extra credit.

I used to do that in my own textbooks especially when the teacher's boring. ^^

Sometimes.... I think the classes that captivate me the most are the ones that weren't available to me in the public education system. Though I've always enjoyed history class.... though you could say those were practically nonexistent as well since they were lacking in any real substance compared to the ones in college. Night and day.

....I loathe math and english soooooooooo much.

I never actually doodled in my text books but I did have a notebook that was full of random new pictures by the end of each week. none of them were any good though.

If im interested in the field of my subject then most likely i would be motivated to pay attention ^^. Remember taking AP Art History and although had lots of reading and assignments I never got bored of that class ^o^
Ps. AP means College level class

That remind me of my textbook. Then again that is in High school, College class are way more fun.

At my school, they teach all aspects of the CNS field and while some subjects like Windows XP pro OS bores me to death, other things are neet to learn and study. I never doodle but I am sometimes on dannychoo.com, haha!

Done that, but regret later because the books ended up couldn't sell for extra cash. :<

I ended up hating the stuff I was studying. Couldn't stare out the windows because the class was small or had no windows. Just stared at the clock...

I enjoy being in class...since it is something that i am interested in...and will apply in the future...

Reminds me of my primary and secondary school. Used to draw on my textbooks, especially chinese. When using the textbooks that were passed down by my brothers, I will see different style of drawings and so I decided to join in the fun. ^^

I remember doing this kind of thing to my textbooks, was always fun. Now that I have to buy my own textbooks though, I really don't draw there anymore.

Also, the one on the bike is awesome!

Well, considering that I did this type of thing - "back in the day" - lets say in 1979 (while in my senior year) in HS. - (Yep, I'm that old)

I was just fledgling and needless to say... yea, several books and papers were (defaced) due to drawings....

Doodling in class was the only thing that got me through classes like maths and science.... Otherwise I would have literally died from boredom...

Yeah, i used to do stuff like this in class, quite a bit. My drawing skills werent so good, so I usually just gave the people in the pictures horns and moustaches.

The one on the upper left is disturbingly LOL. I used to scribble plenty of interesting drawings on my Literature textbook back in secondary school. At one point, I even spent an hour or so recreating Eve from Parasite Eve using one of the available illustrations in the book!

Some classes are interesting and some are not. I like more those classes where the lecturer has a lot of practical experience in the field and can give interesting and true-to-life examples. And of cause the classes that talk about the area of research I am in are more interesting than those that don't:P

Back in college, the only classes I really paid attention to were Japanese Language, Japanese History, Astronomy and Anthropology.
And I majored in Electrical Engineering ^^;;

I remember doing that with my Taiwanese textbooks filled with Confucius pictures ^^ pretty much a subculture!

Some classes are boring as heck, and some aren't as boring. There really isn't any that captivates me 100% though.

Talking about what we want to be in life I have always a goal in mind so I won't lost track or waste the time I have. I still remember 2 year ago I done research on what kind of job will interest me and I will be and what college courses that I'm gonna take.

I finally knows what I wanted to do in the future it's internet marketing and anime at the same time. I want to be a successful internet marketer and earn from it in the comfort of my home.

wow...yeah all my notebooks have become sketchbooks, but i don't think i've ever drawn into the books directly. that one on the bike is epic, though. XD

Even now I carry a wite colouring pencil for the times when I need to draw on a dark background!

LOL! I did this before back when I was in high school. So nostalgic after seeing this picture.

Now I'm quite enjoy what I'm learning now in Japan and will be continue to move forward to my own career after screwing up back in my own country without any target set on.

My textbooks are all in a very good condition, I'd say.

And I have voted on "Most of the time" since I have a very good amount of patience, so even in the most boring classes I do pay a considerable amount of attention to what is being said. Add to that that my wost teachers have already made some hilarious mistakes during classes, so I'm always waiting for the next one to happen. XD

I HAVE to doodle in class or I go insane. It doesn't mean I'm bored or I don't like the subject, it's because when you gotta draw, you gotta draw. The only things spared from my doodles are school textbooks and when teachers restrict drawings on assignments.

Lol. Well... I remember seeing many hand drawn dolphins in textbooks back when I was in high school...

I use to doodle quite a bit...just to keep myself awake...
