Yamato

first of all, that's a nicely sculpted body, but I don't like how her face turned out at all. The join an her hair stands out a lot. The straps or whatever you call it she's wearing is quite unique in design. But it is too revealing for my likings. The figure stands out quite well though, I'm sure it won't be too bad when looked at from a distance.
Not not on my list to buy.

I'd like to know what you thought of it. I'm trying to decide whether or not to get the upcoming Odin Sphere Velvet figure by Yamato, and was looking at Yamato's previous releases to see how they're doing. They've gotten better, but this figure doesn't have me convinced yet. I might just shell out for a resin version. :

Hmmm... Ironically, I was worried about the face when I saw Akiba Hobby's pics, but the pic that is impressing me the most here is the back of her against the cityscape. Eyes are a little plain, but the body is bangin. What to do, what to do...

Same here, I'm not too sorry about canceling my order. While the figure looks much better then the previous photos from Akiba Hobby, there's still something lacking from the final product. At least for the price they are asking. I'd pay around 30 or 40 for this figure, not 70-80(including shipping).

Maybe I'll pick it up later on sometime..

I thought the Simca figure Yamoto released was really nice, though expensive since it was Polystone(not the PVC one).
I bought it and love it one of my favorite figures, would like a nice Ringo to go with it. Akito would be cool too.

Looks ace. It does look better than i initially thought the production version looked, but then i never thought it looked that bad anyway. Still kinda glad i cancelled my pre order ages ago though - im on a real strict figure diet now as i lack space, and i want that zen feeling of not living amongst clutter!
This figure is only really a 'must get' because it has so much flesh on display! It lacks the killer pose or charming character that i like in figures like mirei-san.

The only pre-order i have (and intend to keep!) is the FREEing Ryokou.

I've seen better, the prototype was way better but that's something we should be used by now with Yamato. This figure has some nice views of her face but it depends on which angle your viewing it like this one the 9th picture, she looks nice in there but from other angles she doesn't look that good. The mouth is very weird though but the body seems ok, the seam line on her head is really bad.
Completely shaved girls?! Now that's something we should not discuss here there must loads of minors here XD, I prefer natural down-middle area girls

I still build resin kits, but it's frustrating to see how expensive they are versus the PVC pre-mades. The sculpt on that Ringo is pretty nice, however- if I got a figure like that, one thing I could do is re-paint the parts I didn't like, and see what comes of that.

UGH! What happened to her hair? Ringo might as well have a gigantic hole in her head with that horrible looking seam line in her hair. Seam lines in the hair of figures turn me off real fast. It's an interesting figure with a nice sculpt, but the execution is so poor that there is no way I could justify buying this. I'll just read the manga or watch the anime if I want to get my Ringo fix.
