Awesome list. I gotta add those to the anime FM playlist. My favorite songs right now got to be Extacy from Witchblade, What's Up People from Death Note and the opening to Code Geass

anyways, the song getting the most playtime on my music player is oblivious by Kalafina, the theme to the first of the seven Kara no Kyoukai movies.

In fact, one of my favorite Nana Mizuki song is "Astrogation" (it's a good song, even though is not an anime song) from STARCAMP EP, the single that contains the OP and ED of Rosario + Vampire.

Been listening to a lot of Nyan Furo as well, esp the Sheryl songs, so Infinity, Iteza gogo Don't be late (love that song), diamond Crevasse and What 'bout my star? The ranka version is great too.

Given that my Playlist is reaching 300 anime songs right now, it would be hard to fit them all in, but highlights would be

    The songs mentioned above.
    Triangular (Macross F)
    Realize (gundam Seed)
    Megumeru (clannad)
    Reflectia (True Tears)
    Aozora loop (Kimikiss)
Innocent starter (Mahou shoujou Lyrical Nanoha)
    Changes (Toshokan Sensou)
Kazehane (H2O Footprints in the sand)
    Chain (Shigofumi)
    Joint (shakugan no shana II)
United Force (Kishin Tensei Gigantic Formula)
Hikari No Yukue (El Cazador de la bruja)
and (of course) God Knows (suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu)

I can sing a fair few songs on Karaoke, mostly by memory although I do sometimes need to read the japanese lyrics, but I try not to as it messes up my timing cos I concentrate too much on reading.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Vocaloid songs with Miku.
As for Anime songs, my favourites would be:
God Knows - Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu
    Megumeru - CLANNAD
    Keikenchi Joushouchuu - Minami-ke
    - Kanon & AIR OP and ED
Anata ga Iru - Mamotte Shugogetten
    Agony & Re-sublimity - Kannaduki no Miko
Sore ga Ai Deshou - Full Metal Panic fumoffu
    Lucky Star Karaoke music!!

Don't want to list too many... usually when I enjoy a series, one of the songs would become my favourites. I also use Gendou to download my anime music.

In Sydney there aren't many Karaoke which offer latest Japanese anime music... They have plenty of non-anime though.... I was really surprised the one I went to last week had Lucky Star & Suzumiya Haruhi medley ^^....
Yes I can sing a few songs at karaoke, can't read all kanji but I still manage.

    Haruhi: Minna Totsugeki!!

I loved all the ghost in a shell opening and ending credits, they're quite different from anything else I've seen in any other anime, of course ghost in the shell is one of the most original anime in years imo.

The music from ghost in the shell was all really awesome, some of the best composing in an anime in years! My current favourite credits are the ending credits from Daughter of Twenty Faces sung by the lovely aya hirano! (great series btw)

Oh she's cute! That's great song. I hadn't seen the music video for it. I love how they tie it in with the show a bit (fantastic anime, I agree), but I'm not sure what's up with that sucker.... Or well, if I think like a guy I guess I could come up with a reason; otherwise it's sort of an annoying prop.

Gendou is good for direct downloads. If you prefer torrents, you can head over to Nipponsei here https://nipponsei.minglong.org/
They have a lot of songs there too in complete singles and most of them are encoded in 320kbps MP3 for your listening pleasure ^^. I use both personally, if I can't find em from Gendou, will usually search Nipponsei.

Generally I listen to the op's, and pick up on the bands/singers who I hear more often than others. Like Round Table feat. Nino. Love Round Table. They've done .hack//LOTT, Chobits, Gunbuster(haven't watched but dl'd simple cos it was RT.)NHK, Aria etc. Love RT.

Love Virgins High, not usually my kinda thing, but cos I listened to it sooo much it grew on me lol.

I pretty much listen to any OP of any anime I watch, I think that the OP scenes make the the songs a lot better and gives me a really good memory of it, which is also why i prefer OP themes rather than EDs. The songs make a very good way of promoting the bands as well, many bands I listen to now began with an anime, such as Uverworld, AKFG, HandMC, and even L'arc en ciel. Songs sang by Seiyuus are normally not my type except from really good ones like Hirano Aya and Nana Mizuki (amazing voice).

At the moment though I keep listening to FLOW's Word of the Voice, Sekai no Warae (very easy to sing :D) from Kyou Kara Maou, OP of Toshokan Sensou and a whole Album of HandMC.

Listen to some anime songs but not many... Some just arent for me, mainly because I dont understand Japanese. But Maximum the Hormone has good songs (Death Note) and Hirasawa Susumu is great also (Paprika OST especially), Hikaru no Go OST is also great. Mainly the OST in animes is easy to forget though, rarely I remember any of the songs.

I love the Ghost in the Shell songs, too. They make up some of my favorite openings out of all the anime I've seen (I love me some Yoko Kano).
Still going crazy over Still Doll, the closing theme for Vampire Knight. Wakeshima is just so adorable, and I love her voice:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Rkqcx6KfAA
Really love the Nodame Cantabile opening and closing pieces. Can't wait for the second season. ^_^
Blood + also has some fantastic songs.
Inori - Lena Park's opening for the Romeo X Juliet anime probably makes for one of my favorite openings of all time. I get chills every time I watch it, and just that opening can sometimes bring me to tears (can't wait for FUNimation to make it available in the spring so I can finally buy it) :
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VY7iXJyy1ys (anime opening)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Px2n_LrTG_8 (Lena singing the song in English)
Tank! from Cowboy Bebop of course
This brilliant song, The Garden of Everything, from the Rahxephon movie (you can't go wrong with Yoko Kano AND Maaya Sakamoto):
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=PvHvxLBfhVw
Well...pretty much anything Yoko Kano's touched, honestly. And all the FLCL songs.
Cruel Angel Thesis from Evangelion of course....
    Duvet from Serial Experiments Lain:
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=jDf4bNiPYuE
Opening and Ending for Gunslinger Girl:
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=xEMjq9VpBSE (Light Before We Land)
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=p9JgMHDEKWE (dopo il sogno)

That's all I can think of right now, but that's plenty. :)
It's pretty much the only kind of music I listen to these days (along with showtunes). I don't understand anything they're saying, but I love the music and the way the language sounds.

that song's from kannazuki no miko. it's even got its own wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Re-sublimity or http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/Re-sublimity

anyway, since i'm more the electronica type, i tend to like kotoko's anime ops/eds a lot too. used to listen to love a riddle (onegai teacher) + remixes all day after i watched that anime.
once i got my load of fast drumloops and synthetic basslines, songs tend to get boring quickly. fortunately there's always a bunch of new stuff coming out. love kotoko's visual novel soundtracks too (tsuyokiss yay!).

I like the "Macross Frontier" soundtrack a lot too, Yoko Kanno usually makes great soundtrack, love her work on the "Ghost In The Shell: Stand-Alone Complex" soundtracks too. The "Ghost In The Shell" the movie soundtracks by Kenji Kawaii are terrific as well, they're all on my frequent playlist.

Some of my favorite tracks are:
    - "Re-Sublimity" by Kotoko (from "Kananzuki No Miko")
    - "Inner Universie" sung by Origa/Shanti Snyder, composed by Yoko Kanno (from "Ghost In The Shell: Stand-Alone Complex")
    - "Sore Ga Ai Deshou" by Shimokawa Mikuni (from "Full Metal Panic: Fumoffu")
    - "Undine" by Yui Makino (from "Aria: The Animation") as well as all other "Aria" related music releases.

And a lot of others, including any recent OP's, ED's or soundtracks that fit my taste. I play tons of anime songs and soundtracks and grab most things from nipponsei.

Another Honey And Clover vote, but for the second OP, Fuganaiyaiyaiyaiyaiyaiyaiya or however it's spelt. More than anything, I think it's more to do with that I watched the series at the right time, so it sort of resonated better.

Ah, it was anime songs that introduced me to J-pop and subsequently, to music outside of what I hear everyday (rap, hip hop, etc). I love karaoke... but it's a sentiment not shared by 95% of the population here. Here's a few of my favorite anime songs:

    King of Braves: Gaogaigar- http://youtube.com/watch?v=WfBwdmwdk40
FMP Fumoffu- Sore ga Ai Deshou- http://youtube.com/watch?v=Sfxj5eqfP9s
Konata's Cha la Head Cha la- http://youtube.com/watch?v=0MGeRSwIQKE
Code Geass R2- Shiawase Neiro- http://youtube.com/watch?v=0w2ghvryD_4
Purupuru Pururin (CUTEST SONG EVER!)- http://youtube.com/watch?v=8SLCRfSFWOA

Just off the top of my head xD

"The Winner" (and it's sister song, "Paradise") are also some of my favorites from the great collection of Gundam soundtrackery.

Ghost in the Shell has also consistently featured some of my favorite anime music. The Gankutsuou soundtrack also has a few outstanding songs, especially "Desire."

ive got most of the Haruhi Suzumiya Character soundtracks and other tracks on my ipod plugged into the car. my friends and coworkers are just dumbfounded as to why i listen to it. Also have the full FLCL OST that i listen to on long drives. Currently listening to Persona 3 OST and also compiled a Gundam supermix of a ton of OP/EDs. Man, why do these OST's have to be so expensive? Nothing beats that superior CD sound though.

Although I do listen to (and enjoy) Anime songs and Japanese pop, I am at a very early stage of learning the language, so I miss the rapport between two people which helps my understanding some phrases. However, I can see the usefulness of tuning the ear to the phraseology and abreviations used in daily life.

I love listening ton Anime OSTs even though i couldn't understand a thing XD
I also get some of my Anime music from Gendou though it's not always complete..
Damn I couldn't find an mp3 version of Haruhi's "Parallel Days" and "First Goodbye" anywhere..

Anyways here are some of my faves
http://youtube.com/watch?v=UwrtJ2X38SE (Spiral OP - Kibouhou by Strawberry Jam)an opening song for a not so popular anime. Kinda love how it started from slow to rock~

http://youtube.com/watch?v=eUsldWicyz4 (Fate/Stay Night - Anata ga ita Mori by Jyukai?)
Nice scene where the Girl Arturia stands on the windy prairie... though the ridiculous sun position was kinda odd :(

Also http://www.cnmsl.net/gundamseed/music.htm has all the mp3s of one particular series, guess which

What?? WHAT?? Nobody mentioned Sousei no Aquarion by Akino? http://youtube.com/watch?v=J7MmhjmD41w
It's one of the best songs next to Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis (Evangelion) in my book.

The song has been used so many times in tributes and [MAD]s that it finally got to my head that I NEED to have this song.

A different version of the song called Genesis of Aquarion (from the final episode of the anime) http://youtube.com/watch?v=iDc7e2lBAa0

    Anime songs.
I like them. In fact I almost only listen to them.
My playlist is filled with anime and related songs only.
I don't really listen to english or chinese songs.

Sometimes I feel isolated when surrounding people started talking about english or chinese songs/singers.

Although my japanese is not that good at all, I continue to listen.
    Some magic they hold, perhaps.

totally understood... I don't care about English songs no more, haven't really paid attention to any of new songs since before 2000. As for Chinese.. my brother listens to them , so they kinda stick in my head...
It would be great to have other people who you can talk with that likes Japanese music (esp Anime songs). Hard to find heh...

Most of the music I listen to are songs from anime and there's too many to list. But the ones that I really like are usually from Home Made Kazoku, Orange Range, Shimokawa Mikuni, Yui, Ikimono Gakari and Asian Kungfu Generation.

The latest song that I got addicted to isn't from any anime. It's actually from Sunadokei (the movie version). It's by Ikimono Gakari and it's called Kaeritakunattayo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCn_gREK62E)

Wow... as you, i'm a big fan of Macross songs.
Mari Iijima in Tenshi no enogu, made a wonderful work.
Is the only one song i ever sing in a karaoke contest, and i was the second place of that contest!

The OST from Macross F is great. Diamond Crevasse is calling to be a new amazing Macross hit, the same for Aimo and Ranka's version of What 'bout my star?

Did you listen Ranka's (Megumi Nakajima) versions for Watashi no kare wa pairoto and Ai, oboete imasuka?

From Eureka 7, my fav song is Sakura, from Nirgilis, and Shonen Heart.
