I would love for Good Smile to put out figurines of the rest of the ARIA cast, actually. They have released one of Alicia, and there just happens to be five more main characters (Akari, Aika, Akira, Alice, Athena) so that would be my top 5 pick.

Only 5 huh? Thats tough for me but Ill give it a try.

1. Setsuna from Mahou Sensei Negima in her maid costume with her wings out in a mid-flight/take-off pose. Her sword in one hand and her artifact in the other.

2. Signum from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha in a battle pose with interchangeable weapons. From her snake form, to sword form, to bow form.

3. Yuuko from xxxHOLiC/Tsubasa Chronicle in the outfit she wears to greet dimensional travelers.

4. Lafiel from Crest/Banner of the Stars. Either in her officers uniform with a sword by her side or in a flowing white dress like Ive seen in some of the wallpapers.

5. Fuuko from Flame of Recca with the Fuujin spirit by her side. Shes in battle stance wielding Fuujin on one hand and a partially extended Shinryo Shinto in the other.

Others Ive been thinking about who didnt quite make the cut would be the Bamboo Blade girls, the Rental Magica girls, Yurine from KARAS, Touka or Kagura from Utawarerumono, Margery from Shakugan no Shana, Rosette from Chrno Crusade, Balsa from Seirei no Moribito, Lenalee from D.Gray-man, and Tokine from Kekkaishi.

Rei and Asuka from Evangelion -- though there have been many incarnations of these two in the form of garage kits and pvcs, there is a severe shortage of examples that combine reasonable pricing, quality, and an accurate depiction of the characters' personalities -- a slightly moody expression would be nice to capture the essence of these two. And considering how consumers gobble up anything eva and the new movies that are being released, putting out some new Asuka or Rei figures would be a splendid idea.

Also, Ayu in her overalls and hat from the last episode of Kanon 2006 would be EXQUISITE.

I wrote up something more detailed on my blog, but for the most part, those are the one I'd love to see get done. Nayuki, Alice, and Motoko have had figure in the past, but they aren't that good looking compared to figures of other characters from their respective series. GSC did a great job with their Alicia figure back in the fall, so I'd love to see them continue making Aria figures.

1. Anything from the Negima manga, More specifically, Negi in either teenage mage form Asuna in one of her armor outfits or Setsuna.

2. Anything Eureka seveN, a figure of Eureka from the final episode with the white dress would be especially awesome.

3. ODIN SPHERE! This game has great characters and one of them would be awesome to have.

Happoubi Jin art as a figure would be really nice.

I'm not really that much into figures but I really liked the Sky Girls unpainted figure with Sonic Diver. Danny I believe you posted something about that. I've been looking for it online but have been unable to locate it. Is it even out? I'm not sure. I like the unpainted sonic diver w/pilot because it reminds me of 3D Studio Max and Maya clay/resin renders. It really shows off the model work ... now, if I can only find it.

Ive been wanting a figure of Rose for years but Im sure its probably never gonna happen.If only goodsmile would grant my wish :( I wanted to put any of the dragoanut ladies on the list but Im pretty sure we will see some figures of them down the road.

My favorite illustrators are Masaharu, mikeou, Pink Chu Chu, Carnelian, Mitha, Senomoto Hisashi, Kobuichi and Muririn! Though I doubt if other people know some of the names there...

As for my five characters I'd want to have figures of, the would be (in no particular order):

Looking back, all the characters I'd really want figures of seem to already have decent figures made or are "old news". Well, with Aria the Origination out, maybe there might be room for more Aria figures.

The only thing I could input otherwise I imagine just is this: Though I don't begrudge others their buying choices, I personally cannot, and will not, buy figures that are scantily-clad, designed to show off panties, have cast-off features, or are otherwise overtly sexually provocative. It seems that 95% of the attractive, well-made figures are either in those categories or highly stylized (like the wonderful Nendroid figures). While it's true that sex sells, it also excludes a large portion of the market, especially in the west where not only are some people more hung up on sex, but may not have to hide their hobbies and therefor may take the judgement of others into account when selecting things to display in the open (Half of my aversion to the provocative figures is my own prudity, but the other half is the even greater, far more hung-up-and-judgemental prudity of others...)

I know the "prudes interested in bishoujo figures" market segment is very small compared to the normal bishoujo figure market, so I can hardly expect my desires to be met. I don't doubt that the reason most of the good figures seem to be so provocative is because the higher sales of such figures is what allows the company to retain the artistic talent. Looking forward, though, as the acceptance of otaku culture slowly grows in Japan and as these pursuits gain popularity in the west, there will be a larger market of people preferring to purchase non-provocative figures so they can practice their hobby more openly.

Just as a point of note, the GoodSmile website is not the most intuitive to navigate or search. I tried to find some of the figures that I was looking for but gave up in the end.

Haruhi, anything Tony Taka, Mirai Suenaga in a maid costume, Lei Fang from Dead or Alive, Chii from chobits. Those are the ones I'd like to see the most right now.

I have only two figures I can think of.
The fist is the figure of Kaede Fuyou from the Shuffle! series 'cause the most of the others were not good.
And the second is the figure of Miu Matsuoka from the Ichigo Mashimaro series, 'cause most of the figures were not alike Miu. :)

Generally anything from either Taka Tony or Kuroda Kazuya (Bugbug cover illustrator, Sora no Iro Mizu no Iro character designer) would be excellent lol. Akaga Hirotaka based designs are quite attractive as well (Queen's Blade illustrator)

Balsa from Seirei no Moribito would be neat in a pretty dynamic action shot with her spear.

I know this'll probably inevitably be worked on by Alter, but Lily Salvatana from Satsuriko no Jango would be awesome to round out the main heroine trio.

Henrietta from Zero no Louise dressed in Louise's schoolgirl outfit from Futatsuki no Kishi, opening the top of her blouse up a little. Cast off would be nice too :D

These aren't as much favorites as they are the only thing I could think of at the moment. When I think of some more I'll be sure to post them here!

As I was typing earlier this morning... Don't know if it's plausible for Goodsmile to make these figures because I don't know much about who's licensed what, but I'd like to see some 1/7 scale figures of the Xenosaga girls, Shion, MOMO, KOS-MOS and TELOS in their swimsuits.

Would also like to see Chi from Chobits, Hitomi from Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball, and Winrey from Full Metal Alchemist. Winrey could be in a bathing suit or something, even though I don't remember ever being in a swimsuit in the series. Or just as good would be Winrey in work her clothes, holding a wrench in one hand and a piece of Automail in the other. :)

I'm probably making esoteric choices here. Personally, I dislike the current moe moe rage which has been sweeping Japan and the world.

My first choice would be Sephilia from the manga version of Black Cat. Only Eve from Black Cat gets figure love and that's because she's a loli. Need more Sephilia.

A dynamic figure of Konoe Kaoru from Gatekeepers would be great too.

Some proper Shaman King figures such as Anna, Yoh and Hao would be an awesome addition for nostalgia's sake.

And more Yakitate Japan figure! Besides the Tsukino which was released by GSC iirc, we can also have Sophie and Monica.

I personally would be interested in more NENDOROIDS, especially from the following series;

001 - DEATH NOTE; maybe make like a 3rd series of Nendoroids but this time include Mello, Near, Mikami, etc. I think those would sell really well. I've had many friends telling me they'd like to see GOOD SMILE make Nendoroids of those three characters.

002 - TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN; Nendoroids of Kamina, Simon, Yoko, Viral and other characters would be amazing. Those would be popular among people, too.

003 - BLEACH; I think their is a wide variety of characters from this series that can be turned into awesome, cute Nendoroids. :)

As for regular figures;

004 - GUNDAM 00; I'd be interested in some nice Gundam 00 figures; especially of the Gundam Meisters. The girls would be nice too.

A huge 1/6 or 1/4 Bonta-kun with a big gun haha ^^;
Or a huge Nodame with here mangoose cosplay and a perfect "magoose desu, mukyaa" performed by Ayako Kawasumi, recorded and playable by pressing a button ;)

More seriously, I would love a 1/8 scale figure of Fuu Kasumi from Samurai Champloo (and why not the two other guys Mugen and Jin, but Fuu is my favorite)
Then, Dita from Vandread

Lina Inverse from Slayers. A great figure of her would be awesome.
And to cut off a bit with that moe moe wave like tj_han said, I would love having a Balalaïka (Black Lagoon) figure standing next to my Revy.

For now, that is what came up in my mind, and would definitely by if it would become figures ^^

Oh and also, if you can ask GSC folks to stop making those stupid "petit" nendoroids, and release normal sized Lucky Star nendoroids (or even better 1/8 figures, but IMO nendoroid is a very good format for Lucky Star, according to characters design), without limited way to purchase them...

I like to see more Yoko (Gurren Lagann) and the minami-ke figures.

Mh, I think I'd settle with:

1) Shana - any decent pose with her sword, I have yet to find a Shana figure + sword that I like, one that isn't completely tailored towards fanservice would be even better
2) Adilicia Ren Mathers - In her blue uniform
3) Haruka Minami - Either your suggestion or just the school uniform
4) Miria Harvent - All of her clothes are great
5) Yatsushiro Nanaka - School uniform

I'd also like a figure of Akashiya Moka from Rosario to Vampire, but then again, there's a ton of figures I'd like to have.

2. Kirino from Bamboo Blade wearing her kendo clothes and has the cute cat smile on her face. The cat from Bamboo Blade on the side of her.

3. Tama from Bamboo Blade wearing her school clothes while riding a bike. The little frog from one of the episodes next to the bike.

4. Guchuko from Potemayo wielding her scythe.

5. Nagi from Hayate the Combat Butler resting horizontally on a big cushioned chair with her feet hanging off of the armrest and her head resting on the other armrest while she reads manga.

All will be 1/7 scale, though Guchuko would be best as a nenroid.

Ack, this is a difficult for me as I don't watch anime anymore. However, I would like a new Yoko, but not with the usual cheery-moe look you often find. I'd like her to have a sly or aggressive expression on her face in a sexy, eyes-swayin mid-action pose. Cast-off? of course.

I like Shunya Yamashita illustrations alot, but I seldom find that pouty, puffy lip look translating well to 3D figures. Tends to look better when they tone it down a notch.

Oh, how could I forget Nanaka with Fauna lower half with Gundam arms. Sure winner there.

I'd love to see a Cirucci Thunderwitch. Nel Tu would be nice too. I think little Nel might be good for a nendoroid lol. Haven't seen much of Halibel, but if done right I bet she could look real good too lol

On the shinigame side, Ise Nanao and/or Matsumoto Rangiku would look great in bikini or schoolgirl outfit form.

Nanaka Shirakawa from DC 2 Da Capo 2. So cute, yet the only full figure available really isnt (and that bust/DIY thing doesnt really count, although the face is cute so make that into a full figure!).

Any of the different character designs of Eclair from Kiddy Grade. The only complete one is also not that great.

One the same anime, a nice figure of Lumiere would be good too.

Tthere are always loads of nice figures out, but i often get put off by boobs bigger than heads! I mean, dont get me wrong big's nice but maybe not that big. Companys need to develop a range of cheast sizes for their cute figures! we all have different tastes after all ;)

2. Elza (Final Fantasy XII). The version is revenant wings is not half as good, mainly because she doesn't have that crazy thong over her shorts (if they can even be called that).

3. Wendy (R.O.D. TV). The TV version is much better because she looks so much more mature.

4. Rinslet Walker (Black Cat). Wearing the clothes she has in the last few episodes of the tv series.

5. Tessa (Full Metal Panic). Wearing a smart uniform, looking smart, being professional and serious would be best.

A lot of these characters do not have many or any figures of them already, so I'd definately get them if they came out.

I would love to have figures from Odin Sphere. Not only is the game amazing, but the characters (both male and female) are some of the best looking and designed characters I've ever seen. Any character from the game would do for me, but I am quite fond of Velvet. >_>

I own several Goodsmile figures so this topic really intrigues me!

No particular order:

1) Bleach characters, no figures on the market have really done them justice and the fan base is large.

2)Avatar: The Last Airbender. I know this isn't 'Japanese born', but the show rocks, huge fan base, great character design and bending powers that could offer up some dynamic poses for sure! I'm certain Nickelodean could reach an agreement with the GSC.

3) Fight scenes! Not from any Anime or Game in particular. Just the though of having two characters locked in battle. Take any epic battle from anime or game and make a 1/8 scale battle. Think the large Cloud vs Sephiroth only smaller. These would more then likely become quite expensive but I like the idea. Anyone else?

4)Nariko from Heavenly Sword! potential for cool hair scultping and wicked weapon slinging action.

I'd really love to see a full scaled (1/6-1/8) PVC figure for both Mimi Usa & Kuro Kagami from the Kodomo No Jikan TV Anime.

I know that Max Factory is releasing a Rin Kokonoe this year but they left out my favorite characters.

Max Factory released capsule/trading figures by Collect 800 about 2 years ago maybe, i have a Mimi Usa and a Rin Kokonoe when i didn't even know what Kodomo No Jikan was yet.

But i'd really like to see a nice detailed figure for Mimi and Kuro.

I'll post more when i think of more characters.

Here's my list with some reasonings:

1.) Isako (Dennou Coil) - While the series is still popular. I believe the show was a big hit with the otaku crowd especially those who appreciate a concentrated effort in animation quality. Isako is probably the most popular character in that show, and deservingly so.

2.) Etna (Disgaea) - Reprint/Reissue the Max Factory Etna 1/7 scale PVC sculpted by BUBBA around the time Disgaea 3 comes out in Japan. It is considered to be the best Etna PVC at the moment, and was immediately sold out during its initial release. With that reputation, I think it is a good reason to reprint it when the Disgaea 3 game releases.

3.) Mercedes (Odin Sphere) - The game was equally popular in Japan and America. If the numbers I'm looking up are accurate, the game units sold in America and Japan are almost even. There have been a few decent resin kits of Mercedes sighted at recent figurine conventions, so I thought it might be a good idea to look at them as options to turn to PVC from resin kits. I think Gwendolyn looks better though.

4.) Triela (Gunslinger Girl) - The series is supposed to have a brand new season coming up, perhaps it might be a good idea to anticipate the popularity of the series and make some PVC of the more popular characters.

5.) Pram (Phantom Kingdom/Makai Kingdom) - No real reason, I just like her character design. Unfortunately, she is not as popular as Etna. This is more of a wishful thinking for me.

@e-jump: There are figures of the full robe versions of Nina Wang And Arika Yumemiya but they are of the Manga version and are Resin only, so you need to paint them yourself. look pretty nice tho. The manga based HiME kits were also pretty good!

Not sure if I have a top 5 figures list as I would want unbuilt Resin kits, not PVC,

i' a big shunya yamashita fan so defiantly anything done by him...overall for me it just how it looks, not too big on series because illustrators vary so you get lots of different looking figures and i've had some buyers regret with some of the well more like one of the figures i bought :(

but for sure i put money down for stuff sculpted from shunya yamashita's illustrations.

By the way, for artists, Takuya Inoue and Tony Taka (bigger eyes appreciated though) would be cool. ^^;

Anyway I'd love to see an Athena Glory figure from Aqua/Aria in the same vein as the Alicia figure that GSC previous put out. I've never seen Aqua/Aria, so I don't really know the character, but the pictures I've seen of her look really nice.

OH I remembered what they others were. A Kotonoha or Sekai from School Days figure with cast off would be great too. I haven't seen ANY School Days figures outside from a single Kotonoha with her shirt almost off from I think some Wonder Festival show.

Well, I'll give it a try:

I'm a bit old fashioned I suppose, but I'd like to see figures of characters from older anime. There are tons of Fate, Haruhi, and other current anime figures.

1. Lum from Urusei Yatsura. Could be in traditional tiger stripe bikini, but she was cute in other stuff as well.

2. Oyuki from Urusei Yatsura. There's never been a figure, except gashapon to my knowledge, of this character.

3. Shampoo from Ranma 1/2. Her Chinese outfit is great.

4. Milly Thompson from Trigun. She's cute and having her wield that gigantic stun-gun would be fun.

5. Haruko Haruhara from FLCL. Nurse or bunny outfit! I love the Rickenbacker bass, so traditional outfit is good too, even more so if they included the Vespa.

Why has nobody made a figure of Yomiko and her librarian chic moeness? Is it because otaku feel threatened by smart female characters? I wish I could have a figma or Nendoroid of her, but if anyone dares pervert her with a swimsuit edition, my RAEG will burn the world.

#2: Sakaki (Azumanga Daioh):

Seriously? They never made Azumanga Daioh figs even though there's Yotsuba figs now? Why does nobody respect the classics? Granted, a Yotsuba fig has promoted Azuma Awareness, and now more people watch Azumanga Daioh because they like his style. That and Sakaki could come with a...

#3: Kaorin (Azumanga Daioh):

You can't have Sakaki without Kaorin. Fanfics aside, you just can't separate the two in the minds of the fans. I'm not saying to make PVC figs of them yuri style, I'm just saying make figs of them both.

#4: Kitsune (Love Hina): How long will it be until somebody makes a Kitsune fig? At least with her a slightly sexy number would make sense, but nothing trashy. She's outgoing, but not slutty. All I see are Naru figures that look hideous, where's the love from Good Smile for the Love Hina fans?

#5: Genshiken Figmas

There's so many classic characters in this series it's hard to pick one, so why not make a series of them like they did for Lucky Star?

By the way Danny, I congratulate your employers for rereleasing the Mizuho Kazami figure where she's wearing glasses and eating Pochy. Please Teacher is one of my favorite Anime ever and even though my parents raise their eyebrows at this figure I'm proud to have it because she's a good character.

And i heard the lucky star nendoroid for Tsukasa Hiiragi and Miyuki Takara will release normal version and exclusive version. But i cannot find the official details about it except scan picture from hobby magazine. Anyone know details of it? About which website to order the exclusive version.

I don't thin there's really a market anymore for more Cardcaptor Sakura figurines, unless they were to take advantage of the recent price-drop in translucent colored and glitter resins to make something really awesome where they actually show all the magic and stuff.

Still waiting for my Chiaki (Minami-ke), Sheryl Nome (Macross Frontier), and Eika Ichijo figures after a year. I'm surprised no one have released any of them yet...well seen Eika-san but wasn't impressed at all.

My prayers were answered with the release of Golden Darkness, and iDOLM@STER girls (by MegaHouse). I just hope they go on and release all 12 girls and not stop after releasing 6 or so...

Looking at the date, it appears you originally asked this just over a year ago, but I can't resist giving my input.

Seeing as some of the characters have now come to fruition(such as Siesta :3), perhaps it's time for a new request list?

Well here's mine:

1. Kirche the Ardent (Zero no Tsukaima)
- I've seen Louise, Tabitha, and Siesta figures... but why no Kirche? It feels incomplete!

2. Patricia Martin in Mikuru cosplay (Lucky Star)
- I know, I know, she's not the most popular character, but I know I'm not her only fan!

3. Miyuki with Sheep/Ram horns (Lucky Star from the "What animal would everyone be?" episode)
- Now that I think about it, a Kitsune Konata would be pretty cute too.

4. Momoha Odori (Manabi Straight)
- Am I starting a pattern of well-endowed, independently-wealthy minor characters? I swear I'm not doing it on purpose.

5. Any Manabi Straight character in Figma form
- So I can change their poses every 10 minutes. It would seem cruel to limit the energy and liveliness of the Manabi Straight girls to one solid pose.

[1] Eruru (Utawarerumono)She only has one outfit throughout the duration of the show.

[2] Karura (Utawareumono)She also only has one outfit throughout the entire show, complete with iron neck-shackle and gigatic sword.

[3] Yuuko Amamiya (Ef-a tale of memories) She only wears her one 'nun' type outfit.

[4] Houjou Reika (Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun)I would enjoy seeing her in her maid outfit or her school outfit.

[5] Maria (Hayate no Gotoku) she has normal clothes, but around 70-80% of the show she wears her maid uniform.

Wait! There is more! :)

[6] Ruby-san (Rosario + Vampire) she wear only one outfit throughout the duration of the show, and I am not sure exactly what it is. Kind of like and older, traditional dress. Kinda.

[7] Fujiko Tsubomi (Zettai Karen Children) She wears a different outfit every time she has airtime I think...

[8] Double Face (a 2 girl esper team in Zettai Karen Children) They only have one outfit that they wear throughout the show, but it would be cool to see them paired up as a figma package. Separate would be cool too.

How about offshore copies of figures that they have already run. It's frustrating because offshore you sometimes don't see a show for years after its gone and forgotten in Japan(Aria) and by the timeyou start looking for figures the first run is impossible to find(looking for max Factory Alicia form Aria). Other than that Shirow Masasume and Range Murata are current favorites. Max Factory also might look into making some of its classic older figures as PVC like that wonderful Holy Bell.
