Wow, that looks great! Id DEFINATELY buy the action pose one (mid-eye-bounce ftw) but im not that keen on the standing one. The pose looks a bit boring and the likeness isnt as good.

I need to buy more figures in dynamic action poses...

Second one looks nice, but it was kinda overshadowed by the first one.

Anyways, not on my list because I didn't watch Gurren Lagann yet... but I shure will soon enough.

I would definitely get both if they appeared in PVC form.

I've flown over any previous Garren Lagann PVC's, something about them didn't click with me, but these two instantly caught my eye.

I prefer the kneeling one because it I like poses with a bit of emotion. The standing one does look quite sexy, either way, girls with guns = win.

Yoko as a PVC, not interested.

Yoko as an unpainted resin.. NOW you have my interest... Not a huge fan of the first pose tho. But the face on the second one looks a little off. It's like my C.C problem all over again...

As stated in the post and several comments

"The only details I have at the moment are that these are unpainted kits available this December."

so expect them to arrive around January time if you preorder, and then however long it takes for you to build and paint the kit.
Unlike everyone else, I'm leaning slightly in favour for the second kit, but given that I do build kits, I probably pick up on things other ppl do not, such as the pointless complexity of the hair.
Just out of interest, does everybody just pic figures to buy by aesthetics? or are there methods to the madness, certain things you look out for, etc?

In a recent photo report on HLJ's website, they also stated that these Yoko figures are resin kits. I'm really disappointed, since the top Yoko figure is the best I've seen so far and I was really looking forward to a PVC figure. Never thought that Kotobukuya would actually make resin kits, but I keep my fingers crossed hoping that they will release a PVC figure.

Kotobukiya make pretty good resin kits. I bought their Kazami Mizuho a while back and that was wonderful so I know that they do great jobs!

For those of you who are completely incapable of assembling and painting resin model kits, there are people/services who will go to the trouble for you. Though the cost is quite a bit higher than what you'd be spending on a PVC model, the quality is generally several magnitudes better in terms of both model detail and paintwork.
