Danny Burger King came back into Japan in June this year, unless they left already. It's was in Shinjuku.

Also the whole time I was in Japan I only saw one Wendy's, and I was really surprised to see it.

I can't remember quite well, since last time I tried all three was over 10 years ago, but I think the one I didn't like the most was KFC.

I was 15 on my last trip to USA.

Well, here in Brazil we do have McDs and I think we once had Wendy's.. not shure if there's still any around... but I dropped fast food for almost 5 years (back to it now though).

Not only that, I dropped soft drinks and tried to eat stuff like potato chips and some other artificial stuff as few as I could.

I'm back full force on those now... kinda regretting it already, but meh, I needed a break.

We do have Burger Kings here though only in major cities... and Pizza Huts (love 'em).

Oh, on Brazil we do have a fast food chain (called Giraffas) that makes... we call it the everyday brazilian meal.

Rice, beans, meat of some type and salad. They have like some 10 different types of combinations, the price is pretty much the same as a McD combination, and it's healthier too.

Wendy's is still pretty popular in US, first to start $1 menu war amongst fast food chains. Big thing with Wendy's is using never frozen beef for their burgers. BK sounds like had issues in Asia few years back, I know they pulled out of Korean market, then re-entered not too long ago.

Wendy's...good stuff o_< b. Definitely has way better food and value then Mc Donalds. Tasty and hefty burgers, so much better than Mc Donald's soggy burgers. :p Each meal comes with salad, chilli beans or fries too and a drink. It's a shame that Wendy's is dying out. There's like only one Wendy in Richmond. :/

Wendy's here taste great, so does KFC. Although eating too much of either will probably kill you from fat intake. Mickey D's is so-so, but everywhere. When I was in Tokyo ages ago I did surprisingly find a BK in Shibuya (probably not there anymore). Meat taste like I was chewin on dried rat with ketchup. What did surprise me when I was there was not the food (except the teriyaki burger), but the uniforms. Girls at Mickey D's had short skirts on. All uniforms here are pants regardless of gender. "Hey baby, nice legs. Can you ring me up a teriyaki burger?"

Wendy's were closest to my office in Ebisu, but their food is comparatively fat laden and greasy, in my view. I prefer Maccas or KFC if I'm in the mood for chicken.

Their teriyaki burger I do like very much, however.

Now that I'm back in Australia, I'm Wendy'less, since they only lasted a year here back in the 80's when they tried to move in here. Now there's just an unrelated chain with the same name, but they only sell ice creams and hot dogs.

While Wendy's isn't as large a chain as McDonalds or Burger King we have a fair amount of them where I live and they seem to do good business. In a way thats no surprise since the food is okay and reasonably priced not to mention Ohio is where Wendy's started and the Corporate big shots still have offices here. I don't go to them to often since I have an obsession with Taco Bell.

We don't have Wendy's in Belgium. We have McD and a few KFC, but also a belgian chain called Quick just like McDonalds. I like Quick more than McDonalds. McDonalds actually changed the taste of the kind of similar taste between the Big Mac and the Giant (from Quick). But I like a Giant more than a Big Mac, but if I'm in a foreign country, I take a Big Mac. But I should try Wendy's one day...

Always loved the WENDY`S location close by the Eibisu train station - open 24 hours - perfect for when you come out of Eibisu Club Milk drunk & hungry at 5:30AM !!

I also used to live i9n London in the 1980`s then again in the 1990`s.

Actually , London used to have KFC, McDonalds, Wendy`s, Wimpy`s (you`ll only know that one if you`re british..)
as well as Taco Bell (!) AND ARBY`S (!!)

Sadly Arby`s has been gone for years there (they have also all closed down here in California) - wonder why they never tried to open one in Tokyo ??

Then , on the other hand Tokyo has FRESHNESS BURGER (kick ass food) and MOS BURGER (really tatsty too)

I think Tokyo has great selection - apparantly there are 50,000 restaraunts in the TOKYO area !!

well that severed finger was proven to be a hoax and the people involved were arrested..but yes that did all sorts of damage to the company...but Wendys was always the smaller of the fast food retailers. heck theres only one here, where i live vs. untold dozens of carls jr. Kfc's and McD's and 2 burgerkings...

Say how are Pizza Huts in Japan, i know it was very different in Indonesia vs. the US...here its sit where you want and when your pizza is done they will toss it on the table for you, but when i was in Indonesia it was like some high class resturant with waiters and forks, a place to go kinda place...not what i was used to at all...

I actually tried the one and only burger king (which pulled out and returneded), it's kinda on the way/at Ikebukuru's Sunshine city, near the Mac Donald's -- it's pretty tasty. The Wendy's at Ikebukuru area is not impressive tho -- burger was cold and fries were old! (Maybe we just went to a bad branch :P)

Wendy's??? YUM! Unfortunately here in Sydney we don't have them, We got Hungry Jack or Burger King, & some local burger franchise, last year when I went back to Indonesia & Singapore, I went to Wendy's & A&W, they even have dairy queen! plus our all time favorite Yoshinoya (Japan & US a bit different).
Too bad its getting harder to find Chicken express & Red Rooster here, they kept closing down and too any Mc/KFC poping up. :(

    Wendy's isn't popular here but i'm glad it isn't
it has become my friend's little hand out.. which most people use Mikky D's for..I haven't eaten McDs for awhile.. almost since a year..I ate there last week..

my friend was reluctant to go.. i pondered why.. and found out why when we got our comboes..the bread was hard,
the cheese was suspiciously solid.. but the best part was the fries..

our burgers came in a small box ,instead of those wrappers everyone else uses.. my friend took a small mini fry and asked me to examine it.. yes it was a real fry.. hard.. but a fry..
next thing i knew she took the fry.. and impaled it right through the burger box.. instantly sending me in a frenzy of laughter!

I had a wendys back when I was a kid and my family went over to the US of A for a holiday. They were actually really good, but I didn't think much of their chances in other markets when their tag was "Americas 4th favorite fast food chain"

For me, KFC rules the roost and then it's Burger king. Wendys would be above BK if there were any in the UK and i just avoid McD like the plague

Is that the Wendy's in Ginza? Eating in there reminded me of my lunches at primary school, probably it was due to the small chairs.

During the summer I remember having a hot dog set from their menu, which was really dry despite a horrendous amount of ketchup on it. Other then that, the 'tomato chicken sand' set was alright. Not the best when compared to the filth that McD's brings us (─▽─)

    Wendys in the Philippines have shrunken burgers. their burgers are about half the size of a regular burger. I remember during one of my trips to California. A food attendant was so suprised when I ordered two burgers for myself. as for me, I got suprised when I recieved the burgers. ^^;

I remember going to the Wendys outside Yokosuka naval base. After a year an a half stationed at Camp Zama, it was great to have a Frosty. I quickly ordered a large frosty with my burger and fries.

That's when I got my reminder that I was still living in Japan. My LARGE Frosty was the same size as a child sized Frosty in the US.

But man it was really really good :)

Danny, I'll see your Wendy's and raise you a Popeyes Cajun Fried Chicken. Unfortunately, their franchises are only on American military bases including Camp Zama, Atsugi, Yokosuka, and Yakota.

I've always wanted to know the menu of a Japanese based fast food restaurant cause my friend from Japan always told me they had awesome stuff (like the teriyaki burgers).
I think the reason McDonalds fares so well is subliminal advertising of the older generation and the fact there are so man advertisings/commercials of them, even though the food sucks.

It's all a matter of tastes and places but I would go the same way as Crisu.
Wendy's first, BK second. To me Mc Do wins points here because they make delicious deli sandwiches (guess it's Canadian exclusive).

Since I don't eat fast food on a regular basis (it's even exceptional to me), I'm fine with it.

Nothing beats fast food with traditional values and homestyle cooking/preparation.

I always like to see what overseas fast food chains offer that they don't offer in America. When I was there over the holidays, I didn't eat any fast food, but I noticed some advertisements for tamago burgers and other items that sounded interesting.

Good to see Wendy's is as good as it is here...there aren't too many Wendy's around compared to McD's and KFC, but you can find them if you look.

Wendy's is very Popular as everybody that lives or has visited the US agrees. I like the quality of the Meat and the overall freshness of their other ingredients. Here in the western part of the US are other chains that have the best Burguers. For me it's a toss up between
"Carl's Jr." and " In-n-Out Burguers" Simply the best!!!!

Hope you get lucky and they'll open some in Japan soon.

Their food is always fresh (unlike McDonalds and Burger king) and it is really reasonably priced. I don't know how good Tokyo's Wendys is compared to where I live but I imagine it is somewhat simliar.
