Sounds like it was a great conference. I just got back from the Podcast and New Media Expo this weekend myself. I had a great time and the conferences were amazing.

    Great stuff Danny.
I'm interested in a web related job. More specifically, starting my own blog...
I graduated on Computers, and am now taking a Game Development course... but now, I'm just not shure anymore.

Feels like I'm more inclined to media coverage, article writing, information and blogging than writing algorithms, creating game designs and such.

Nice information you have there, those who do photography, I do a bit, might be able to use cc for our benefit. Everything seems interesting, might head to it myself one day to learn whats current with the internet from the top themselves.

Wow, a total new lexicon and methodology for the new age of information. Very similar to how the world must have felt with the printing press. I feel like an unenlightened peasant in the face of such intelligence.

The Long Tail is an interesting look at the Power Law Curve, I read the book quite some time back, interesting read. I did wish I learned more internet programing back in school, maybe would have started my blog earlier as well.

How many days is the conference danny?

I would like to get into the internet business area. I'm trying to get there slowly as I still lack a considerable amount of experience. heheh! :D

I like that Pareto Principle...and I find myself following it most of the time. I like going to conferences like that one. you get to learn so much.

It's funny that you mention The Long Tail and that you don't tend to follow it. A few months ago, I was listening to a lecture about web business solutions and it was brought up. The first site that I thought of was yours. Maybe in Japan, you are hitting a subject ( anime - manga - figures ) that is popular, but in the states, even though it's growing, it's still considered fringe.

Towa Tei! Awesome to see him there. He's really underrated.

Personally, when it comes to web 2.0 businesses I find it hard to grasp how they actually make money other than advertisers or investors. It just seems to me like too much is reliant on third party advertising and not an actual product. I'm not a business guy though...
