Theres a new type of business aimed at Otaku who love 2D girls but cant stand the face of real girls - satsueikai (photo session) of hybrid models called "Anigao" meaning "anime face".

Anigao Girls offer you the exciting chance to pay a measly 10,000 yen to take photos of an Anigao Girl for one whole hour. The session is 1x1 and you get to choose what costume you want her to wear. It costs 1,000 yen per extra costume and if you bring your own costume for her to wear then its going to cost you an extra 1,500 yen. If you want her to wear a bikini then its an extra 2,500 yen (all prices here)

Anigao Girls is located in Akihabara so if you need a break from buying Gundams n Figures then this could be something to add to your schedule.
Videos and pics below.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the Otaku category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

but as I am a bit upmyself at times.... we cannot forget this moment here which Danny has donated to us....

Neither real-life women nor plastic figures seem strange, but combining the two just looks weird. Probably due to the contrast between living flesh and stiff inanimate matter; reminds me of people who have had too much botox and plastic surgery done on their faces.

Lol, I actually thought by looking at the first picture with thumbnails and the other pictures, that I was looking at another of those Candy Girl-kind of puppets. But then it struck me that the hands looked too real and the bowling alley confused me.
Then it struck me, that it's a real model wearing a mask... How silly :P

Anyway, I don't find it very interesting to go to such a photo shoot, as the face doesn't move anyway ;p So there's not much to it. And the I don't like this particular face :)

LOL its exactly what I wanted to talk about today. But since you posted it first I have to think of something else to write about.

Personally I think it borders on cool versus freaky. Its a good thing if you want to parade on the street and don't want friends and family to recognise you. But I'd rather just put on a stromtrooper outfit ya =P

    Creepy.

I'd prefer someone going for simple cosplay, even something plain -please no cross-dressing at least-, not someone going for a costume and a huuuuuuuuge mask.
Of course with it you resemble more to the chosen character, but the proportion is lost... And the absence of blinking or other face expression is scary.

It also kinda gives a Super Deformed look to it. Now to complete the picture, giant gloves and giant shoes... No, forget that.

Too many cons for on pro.
The sentence has been pronounced. Guilty... Ah, wrong file.

Just when you think they couldn't find something stranger than the last thing... I'm creaped out and yet slightly intrigued at the same time. I'd still prefer the real deal to the mask though.

    I find this REALLY creepy.

I mean, okay. I do have a problem with many girl's faces, but I think there are a lot who have nice faces, and practically every face is better than that creepy mask, in my opinion...

But, well, whoever likes it... I just wonder what the Girls think about it.

    Too creepy and hideous!
I think I'll prefer real girls with real face.

BTW, I think that the skin of an anime face mask doesn't match the skin of a real model.

    Ah thats too scary!

Its not that I find the mask disturbing, but staring at the plastic face and then seeing human flesh!

This objectifies women more than regular idols, because all she is, is a body. I wonder, if they will have plastic surgery in the future to make you look like an anime character..

That girl can't be a regular model, so she has to wear a mask?!

Well that is the closest(other than candy girls or other sex dolls like that) that guys are ever going to get to real life moving anime girls. You gotta wish the eyes were better done though.... colors a bit flat...

No, the closest you we will get to real life anime girls will be when matrix style computer-brain interfaces are possible. Somebody is going to release a Ragnarok for it and I'm literally moving there.

It would work maybe if the model covered her whole body
like cover the hands with golves
wear a really long loli dress
    wear long stocking
long story short were i'm going with this one is cover the whole body and make her sit REAL still then it might work.
    maybe not.
with the skin showing it kinda creepy and weird, flesh and plastic don't mix
