Better late than never - happy Halloween folks.
And to celebrate, the Melissa twins do a cast off just for you. Haruhi and Shana join in the festivities by cross cosplaying.

As for me, I'm occupied with November preperations so stayed indoors. Will you be dressing up and knocking on other peoples doors? Hmmm, could be a good excuse to finally talk to that lovely girl/boy who moved in next door?

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

Hehe, for my halloween this year, its 1 hell of an halloween, went to see Maximum the Hormone (j-metal band) in Southampton Guildhall, it was totally awesome, had pictures taken with them, and also even got them to sign my album too :D what a night ^^ (elbowed someone in the nose during the mosh was abit amusing i have to say)

as for dressing up? na, not much of this going on around this area, where i live is full of old residents >.> yeah yeah its the country side

Happy Halloween, I don't think anyone celebrates Halloween here, never heard of that phrase being used here before. All this time in my area, I'v only had a group of people who actually came for trick or treating, and they didn't even dress up for it... -_-

I love halloween despite being too old to really do much. It is mainly fun due to the fact that I live in a rather new neighborhood and instead of candy, when the one or two kids from the neighborhood come, I give them random items. Last year, I gave a kid a fork. His mom wasn't happy.

Looks like only the stupid kids will show up this year (if any kids shows up at all). The news warns about leaving home because it's unusually cold for this time of year. They claim ALL costumes to be way too cold for the current weather (they also warn about freezing roads).

Personally I don't like Halloween here. Basically it was unknown 10 years ago, but then some major stores decided to import a lot of costumes and make commercials for it. This means it's all about buying a costume and go trick or treat. What I really hate is that they always ignore our own culture and they work really hard on forreign culture (specially from USA).

I remember a while back, when I went to get candy from people, I would always send them to the Philippines. Why? The people there have trouble buying sweets all the time. I remember how my parents told me that they only bought ice cream on their birthdays and not many other times.

Meh, if it wasn't for the Internetz, I wouldn't even realize it was Halloween at all.

The parties kinda died in Brazil... when I was a kid, I lived in a neighborhood that had lots of kids trick or treating in Halloween.
But the trend died because of unsafe streets, and I guess because most kids on the neighborhood became adults.

I'm currently living in an apartment right in the middle of the city, so today is just a regular day as any other... kinda sad. :P

Will be out n about for a bit. All the kids on our block are all grown up, so we don't get trick or treaters.

Do you guys think its bad form to just leave a large bowl of candy at my front door and have a sign reading "Please take one only". And what are the chances that the kids will actually follow directions? >_<

SoCal? I'd be surpised if kids follow directions. Use a bowl you are willing to lose. Report back what happened.

    Ah, just finished an afternoon at our company's little Halloween lunch party, dressed in my original costume named "Punk Trooper", lol. Basically, a Stormtrooper drop-out, Jedi outcast, and bounty-hunter-in-black, I thought my black overcoat, black katana and white blaster looked cool. But my white trooper helmet apparently scared a few of the employees' little kids, lol. >_<;

its a great halloween day over here in Philadelphia.
Our Phillies just won the World Series this week and the parade for the team was today, and I can say that after the parade, there is going to be alot of people in Phillies shirts and jackets walking around the city for halloween night. I stopped trick or treating when I was 11, I go to parties and such.

I normally go uhh.....racing during halloween night. Of course no where there are little kids running around. I mean, what normal kid walks around a empty strip of road at night....

For Halloween i enjoyed looking at my nephews outfits before they left to trick or treat. One went as Darth Vader and the other as a pirate. I stayed at home with my brother-in-law and and some other guys who's girlfriends were all taking kids out trick or treating. We drank some beers had a smoke and BS'd for a few hours.

I really wanted to go to costume party. I've had this urge to cosplay ever since Celebration III, but i never act on it.
