Details of up n coming releases just uploaded to the GSC site.
First up is this 1/4 scale Rin Kokonoe by Freeing due out next Jan - retails for 11,800 yen. Looks like the top is made from cloth = probably castoffable.

Second is Maritan - limited edition with Hobby Japan. 3,500 yen and due out next march.

Third is Nagi from Kannagi which I still have not watched yet - tell me if I'm missing a gem.
6,800 yen and due out next Feb by Freeing.

Any of the above on your get list?

Sorry to ask this related question but I just secured the next sponsor for the up n coming giveaway. Probably 150 - 200 USD worth of goodies. I need you to help decide whether it should be "winner takes all" or "winners share the prizes" where the first correct answer gets "wow!", second place gets "cool!" and third places gets "hmmm. great."

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.

I hate to say it, but that's not Rin Kokonoe. The only way that figure resembles Rin is the fact that it has twin tails. Very nice figure, its just not her.

Also, I'm surprised at how good the top looks being in actual cloth. Really nice.

It probably looks good in great part because of the large scale--I've noticed the smaller something is, the harder it is to make cloth look right.

Danny, this is only somewhat related: the GSC site also posted new additions to the Nanoha Device Metal Charm collection. It says they're sold at "animate stores nationwide and mail order". Does that mean those of us overseas are out of luck? Is there some proxy way I can use to acquire one?

I'm not a big fan of Kodomo no Jikan, so I'll be passing on this figure. I don't really do cute little girl figures unless it's a Yotsuba Revoltech!

I guess everyone gets something would be better than winner takes all. That way you can make 3 person happy instead of just one.

I like the Nagi and pixel maritan, they look like real nice figures. Also I think the booty should be shared, that way more people can 'share the love' of winning and it offers more to the community as a whole.

But winners share the prizes...(In this way there would be more than 1 winner ... I think...)

Rin looks a bit too innocent, like everyone else said, the face bothers me. Kannagi is definitely a gem. She's a goddess who wants to be an idol to outdo her goddess sister. The comedy is great too.

1/4 is too big I think. At least for me, cause I would not have a place to put her on I think.
Nagi looks nice. I would not say that Kannagi is a gem, but it is definitely worth watching.

1/4 is rather big, but I guess it wouldn't be all that bad. And Kannagi is definitely a watch. Or at least, I enjoy it. ^^ As good as "winner takes all" sounds, sharing is caring too. ^^

Being a big fan of the manga I can say Im not sold on the face at all. Also I dont think the pose or clothing really sell her personality, as which in my opinion would be the whole point of making a Rin figure int he first place. Color me disappointed.

Winner takes all I'd say, it's not a colouring contest for little kids and it takes a lot of effort to win anything unless it's lottery based. Whoever wins deserves that much.

I'm sorry but that does not look anything like Rin. It doesn't have that moe feeling i saw from the Rin Kokonoe in the Kodomo No Jikan TV Anime. Anyone else agree?

Rin's face looks really odd. :| Her nose seems a bit long.

Maritan's normal version is on my get list. I was afraid there might only be a limited version...

Freeing's version of Nagi is the best so far but her head is too round for my taste. As for Kannagi, it's off to a great start, and I think it's your type of show. Nagi is quite adorable. :)

Surelly Kokonoe Rin got a strange "mature" air about her, not the naughty air we love about her. So I will not buy it surelly, already happy with the Max Factory's version and Figure Collection. Even the red shoes are missing...
