Gundam First Grade

This September will see the release of Bandai's new line of Gunpla called "First Grade."

Bandai's strategy with this line is to get cheap kits in to the market which can be completed easily. The kits dont need nippers to cut out the pieces which means that they are perfect for building while commuting on the train to school/work or even when you are having your morning dump.

The kits are about 125mm tall and come in the same scale as the HG series at 1/144.
The first batch of First Grade kits are Mobile Suits from the Gundam 00 series and will retail for the following.

• 525 yen for GN-001 Gundam Exia
• 630 yen for GN-002 Gundam Dynames
• 630 yen for GN-003 Gundam Kyrios
• 735 yen for GN-005 Gundam Virtue

Looking at the photos from AmiAmi, the quiality (after sanding, painting, inking) looks quite good ^^;
Gundam Exia looks better now but am not sure about the others. The green Dynames resembles Buster Gundam (Buster looked better IMO) and the orange Kyrios looks like Akatsuki with the wide shoulders.
