The first thing I thought when I saw this on the news yesterday was "poor Project Freedom."
From Bloomberg below.
Woman Sickened by Tainted Nissin Foods Noodles
Oct. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Traces of a chemical were found in instant noodles made by Nissin Foods Holdings Co. that sickened a woman, health officials of the city of Fujisawa, west of Tokyo, said in a faxed statement.
The woman developed symptoms of nausea and numbness in her tongue after eating Nissin's `Cup Noodle' brand ramen tainted with paradichlorobenzene, used in moth repellant, the statement said. The woman was not hospitalized and is recovering, according to the document.
Nissin Foods spokesman Jun Aoki said by telephone his company was investigating the report.
The woman bought the noodles in Fujisawa in September, according to the report. She filed a complaint on Oct. 21 after eating the product the previous day, according to the statement.
What Bloomberg forgot to mention was that Nissin recalled 500,000 pots of Cup Noodle and also said that they find it unlikely that the repellent got into the product within their facilities.

How often do you eat instant cup noodles? I grab one from the cupboard when I have absolutely no time to go out - not often though.
Anybody watch the Cup Noodle 3DCG anime Project Freedom?
