Finally made a few deals so that I get samples of non GSC related figures too ^^;
Now I need to get to know folks at Apple and Canon ^^;

Latest SAFS are Kotobukiya Chizuru and Alter Haruka. The quality on Chizuru is surprisingly good.

This pic was taken using the new Canon Kiss 2 using the remote shooting function. As soon as I take the shot, the image is saved on the mac and shows up on the display - great for figure shoots. You can see the previous shot displayed soon the apple display. Takes a few seconds to show up but so much better than taking out the SD card and manually transferring to the mac.

Review of this bunch O goodies soon.

      Sora kyoku explained it the pubchi blurbs, but in case these comments stick around:

      Hiragana づ is rarely used and you should only use it instead of ず when you know the word you're writing is one that's traditionally written with づ . The best known example is the famous "To be Continued" つづく。

    Danny, I'm not sure you read the reply on the previous news, but I'd recommend getting the battery grip for the Kiss 2, it's actually cheaper than the grip for the previous models. plus with 2 batteries your camera would last a very long time. however it's only if you don't mind the extra bulk on the camera. ^^

    Ironically, the two figures I want are from those two companies. Of course, though, I am stick with just Alter. Not sure. I just know that I never hear about Bandai, as they have the Metamo series. But that is me.

    As for Apple, they might need somebody as good as Steve Jobs. Rumor has it that he might have to step down due to health reasons. So look into doing a deal with them before then. :3

    Shooting with a tether is nice. I was experimenting with it in Aperture 2 before I became so darn busy with classes. My results have not been to my liking. I need to get a new tripod and improve my setup. Eventually I would like to try a Strobist setup. http://www.flickr.com/groups/strobistgear/

    "Remote shooting function" seems a useful feature, allowing you to see the picture on the big screen quickly.
    Does it work with all file types that the camera supports? And is the function specific to this camera or is it on all of the newer Canon cameras?
