You is being a Nikon fan?
If so then you may be interested in a new direction that they seem to be taking. The UP300x is a media player which projects the equivalent to a 50 inch image in front of you meaning that your gaming and health time fun is also increased by 50 times.

The multimedia playback headsets for listening to music and watching movies (equivalent to a 50-Inch image).

The UP300x features a built-in motion sensor that allows for hands free operation (volume adjustment, etc…), up to 8GB of flash memory, Wi-Fi b/g, USB port, and two Sanyo eneloop rechargeable batteries. It supports WMV9, MPEG-1, MPEG-2 video files, and MP3, AAC, WMA9 audio files. Compatible with HTML 4.01, JavaScript, Flash Version 7, other media contents are downloadable from Nikon's service.

The 8GB model costs 69,800 yen and the 4GB model at 59,800 yen. Both will only be available from UPStore. The cool official page here.

I would have considered this if it had two eye pieces but I'm guessing they want you to wear them out and about town. Want?

yea a 50" screen (supposedly) at 640 by 480 yeaaaa..... it better have some pretty high pixel density or it's gonna look like crap considering it's inches from your face, so yea it's a no thank you for me. Besides I'm not looking into any kind of tech like this until they get to point where they're the small compact things with the clear glass that you always see in movies, kind of like the scouts in DBZ.

It's a very good idea in concept, but just not practical.
Why would someone necessarily get this over, lets say, a PSP, iPod Video, iPod Touch, or any other multi media handheld?
Sure, it's hands free, but when you're watching a video or a movie, what are you really doing with your hands in the first place? ok, too many come-backs available for that last one. But, said media players come have stands available so you can set it on a desk and watch hands-free as well.
This device is too situational to be widely used. For some people, of course, the benefits apply to them. The rest of us, however, really have no point in getting this bulky gadget. Not to mention that its use is limited to 1 person, (unlike a media player, more than one person can stare at the screen.)
    And yes, do want.

To be honest the price doesn't seem thaaat bad considering Sony's MDR-DS7000, a set of wireless 7.1 simulating headphones, cost about $300US, if the headphones have decent quality and if by 50" screen they mean the quality of a 50" HDTV, it could be well worth it.
