Kissdum

The plot in a nutshell: The Hardian civilization of creatures existed on Earth way before humans and remained dormant under the seabed until they suddenly started to attack the human race.
The humans form NIDF (Neo International Defense Force) and develop a fleet of battle vehicles to fight the Hardians...

Kissdum Engage Planet is already into its 12th episode but I only picked it up recently so can only talk about what I've seen up until EP 4.
Up until EP4, we see how the main character gains the ability to regenerate his body and fuse his flesh with weapons of any kind turning him into a living weapon. He is also the last hope of the human race.
There is a shocking turn of events when it is discovered that a human has betrayed her own kind and plays a big part in the Hardian invasion...

The first episode is intense with a lot going on. It covers some background on why and how the Hardians appeared, some character development/intros and a lot of battle scenes with the Hardians invading the cities (much like the invasion scene in Independence Day).
There is a lot of eye candy to be had in this show with a lot of well implemented CG being used on the vehicles and Hardian monsters. The music is enjoyable too - some orchestral, some groovy. Some of the girls are nice too ^^;

While the name "Kissdum" sounds incredibly silly, you will (or will not) find a good quality anime underneath. I hope the later episodes are just as good.
Recommended to folks who would like to watch a mix of GITS, Independence Day and Starship Troopers. You can watch the trailer in the Otavids section.

Folks in Japan can watch Kissdum on TV Tokyo every Tuesday night at 1AM.
