Armored Core title=

The only experience I have with Armored Core was with one of the previous PS2 releases - I droped it after a while as it took too long for the action to happen (cant remember the title).

I hear the PS3 version is good but have avoided as the impression I get is that its more of a strategy game(?)
The Armored Core mecha are really nice though. Have not noticed anybody making the kits though.

mm well if we're talikng about the same armored core serie, it's possible to swap some parts between the different kits to build your own mecha, which is nice cause it opens the door to extreme customization....

Yes I am a HUGE Armored Core fan, since the first game for the Playstation. Those AC's look fantastic, thanks for bringing the pics =). The games are a lot of fun, and I always enjoy building my own mecha.

Been playing Armored Core since Project Phantasma back in 1998. Addicted to the series eversince but I haven't bought any AC model kits for two reasons: first, they tend to be more expensive than your average Gundam model, and second, they always sold out fast in my local hobby store. (-__-")

The PS3 version is more of a strategy game? Don't think so. That impression sounded more like Armored Core Formula Front for the PSP.

I played that series a long time ago and still a fan of it starting from the first series of Armored Core until I stopped playing this series recently ending with Armored Core: Nine Breaker.

BTW, their model lineup is fantastic. But I don't want to buy these model kits for a while.

Never really liked Armoured Core. As you said Danny, the action took way too long to happen since it takes ages to fine tune your mech and for me, when the action did happen it wasn't anything mind blowing. The kits look nice though.

I love the designs for the armoured core mechs. So detailed and unusual. Makes a great change from gundam stuff. Ive never played the game, as japanese robot games dont really appeal to me due to the laziness of flying/ skating everywhere rather than stomping mightily around cities. Zone of the enders was ok though - the mechs in that had really nice, sleek designs...

Mech designs are nice. THey have a realistic style to them which is nice.
But its a refeshing look at mech other than GUNDAM.

Heard there was an AC tornament in Japan for PS3.

I Played a bit of AC on the PS2 but i find the controls a bit clunky dun noe but thats me feeling.

But I prefer playing Zone of Enders

Mech designs are nice. THey have a realistic style to them which is nice.
But its a refeshing look at mech other than GUNDAM.

Heard there was an AC tornament in Japan for PS3.

I Played a bit of AC on the PS2 but i find the controls a bit clunky dun noe but thats me feeling.

But I prefer playing Zone of Enders

I've never played with the armored core games. But the mecha design looks very agressive and like real killing machines. It's very different from gundam mechas. Maybe I should try it...

I got one of those kits :D
    the second image...got that one.

Really cool, no glue is really needed for those kits...or paint for that matter, but it does enhance the overall appearance of course.

thinking of getting another. or some weapon kits (the weapons are interchangeable between some kits

Latest in the series is AC4: For Answer? If i'm not wrong?

I did give the AC4 instalment in the series a shot, a little too much emphasis on the mechs IMO.

But the models sure look kickass.

Armored Core is a great game to take out the PS3's strengths :O (high polygon rendering power, low texture processing power) Those kits look incredibly difficult to construct.

The AC mechs always struck me as something Skynet from the Terminator movies would build to annihilate the human race. I think they look pretty cool, though a bit too "real" for me to put them up there with some of my other favorite mechs.
