AkibaHobby has more pics of this Revoltech Yoko that came out yesterday - the face came out like this...
I guess I will be on to Good Smile to come out with a Figma version then.

Speaking of Good Smile, we launched the Japanese version yesterday - the top page defaults to Japanese http://www.goodsmile.info/

Use the flag in top right corner to flick to English. Under the "Products" you will see an English version of the Product Release Schedule.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the Figures category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

    Yoko with hamster cheeks. O_o

While Yoko is a great character I think figure makers should show more love for Nia. I hope there will be a Alter Nia later on.

    that is very weird looking
I think the issue may be the chin, eyes and temples

but the face is interchangeable on this model tsk-tsk!
Now that revoltech offers interchangeable parts and with their bold choice of supporting-role character selections not to mention lowest pricing I think they have the ability to obtain a good portion of the figure market if they can keep quality at a constant
konami also makes a poseable yoko that is not bad at all I think

I'm not a big gurren lagann fan, but I do plan to buy quite a few yoko figures, including this one and the nendoroid

Figma Yoko would be great, I'm currently waiting for this one to arrive it just shipped out today. The face does look basically the same as the promo pix, only the lighting is very different and covers the details more. Those black lines in the eyes shouldn't be there though. I won't knock it yet though, gotta see what it looks like up close and in person when she arrives first.

I've got a review on my blog (check my link)

The face is alright on mine, the lighting on the photos they posted on their sites kind of gave a false hope (for those who don't like the face). But the angry face is alright, and the standard looks good with the sunglasses.

Not a waste of money for me though (the uncle at the store didn't know the standard retail price which was $32 for the Yoko, and sold it to me for $28.)

Is there a confirmed Yoko figma figure? Are there rumours? Is it simply a guess?

I like this figure very much except from that it lacks the high quality that figma has and that the standard face looks odd. A figma Yoko would be superb.

I wonder how much more it would have cost them to get a more accurate facial sculpt for Yoko.

As for a Figma Yoko, very much yes! That would be great. So would a Figma Lina Inverse. Not that it stands much chance of happening, but I figure I might as well mention it.

the face lacks detail and it looks bland.
I'm happy to say, I will wait for the figma version. ^^

I haven't been quite as fond of Revoltech since order for Dark Saber came and I saw the quality of that, but for me, being a Yoko fan, I was willing to try one more at least, knowing that the Revoltech quality would not be that great, but still pretty good, will most likely have the angry face on her anyway as I think she is so much more fun when angry!:P The dark line under the eyes actually doesn't throw me off this one that bad, yet... will wait to see when I get the figure hopefully pretty soon!:D I still say figma ftw, but like I said, willing to give Revoltech another shot!:D

By the way people not all of the figures have the 'sleepy-looking' face. Mine doesn't, it seems to be an issue with Kaiyodo's quality control... Which is why I prefer buying figures personally to check for any problems firsthand, compared to pre-order or overseas importing, where you can't see the figure for yourself before you buy it.

    Still enjoying my Yoko figure.

That face is so.. anti-yokoish. I got to admit, I'm disappointed. The whole figure is just WRONG.

Despite the fact that I am heavily saving money right now and that this one has facial problems, I'm going to get this one. Who knows, it might not be odd-faced like several has stated, also, if the company gets more cash they'll perhaps avoid these problems in the future!

    It's all about luck!

Sorta on the line with this figure. At first I hated it but another article had some really good pictures (with the other face on).

First I liked this figure upon seeing it, then I got a bit worried when I noted the face-issue thing.. Later when I actually got it I liked it, and now, I love it, the looks, quality, accessories and posablity makes it one of the best figures I've ever seen.

Something tells me that this "somewhat fugly" picture was specifically chosen by Danny because of his "connections" with Good Smile and Figma. Esspecially since most other reviews have rather attractive shtos.
