If you are into retro games then you need to get yourself to a shop called Super Potato in Akihabara.
The shop carries just about any retro type console or game that you can think of and are pretty good about you talking photos. Get along to Akihabaranews for a tour.

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the Japan category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

Oh man I wish my local shop had some old school retro games! I still have my N64 with a couple of games I LOVE IT still to this day!! But I wish I could find some for my Dreamcast! They had IMO the best gundam game. It was called Gundam Side Story 0079, I wish I never traded it in for credit!! Oh well I want to plan a trip to Japan so I guess I have one more stop to go to!!

Seeing those copies of Final Fantasy make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I actually seem to prefer vintage games to today's modern day games.

As a pure old-style gamer (For me the 16-bit -SNES/Super Famicom- and the 32-bit -Playstation- periods were the best), my answer is obvious. I didn't feel comfortable when 3D games first appeared, but it is fine now, even if I still am rather clumsy with those double analogic sticks (PS2).

Somehow I feel that my quest in videogames will soon end. I have bought the Gamecube for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Zelda Collector's Edition, Super Smash Bros. Melee and a few others and it was great that they released Fire Emblem Path of Radiance on it. I was estatic when Megaman and Megaman X collections were available.

I don't think I would invest in a Wii or a PS3... I just don't mind being left behind and go for the bargain bin as always...

And if I ever would have a delayed wish for investment in a PS2 I think I would be too busy in life for that... But who knows?

Great! I was in Akihabara today, and I was looking for that shop, but I couldn't find it (and didn't remember the name...) I'll check it again one of the next days.
