Police arrived on the scene of a woman next to a stabbed man in the middle of the road.
The woman was arrested for attempted murder.

During questioning, the woman named herself as a manga artist "Kobayashi Miki" [小林美樹] aged 31.
She said that when the man said that he wanted to break up with her, she got mad and stabbed him.
The man was stabbed a few times in the chest and sustained heavy injuries but is still alive.

Have you had unpleasant experiences breaking up with somebody?

    Nope, no break ups here. I'm single, live alone, and all female company ignores or shuns my company. I might be a classic example of an otaku.

    Poor guy, seems like more and more people are not respecting other peoples lives.

    what's this? you broke my heart so I'll break yours literally? anyway I had a girlfriend who broke up with me, it didn't felt all that bad since we hardly saw each other before the breakup. it was a long distance relationship, I was in Canada, she was in Australia. ^^; however I did have a really bad breakup years ago, couldn't study well or do anything for weeks. however it did end well since three years after that we got together again. and a couple of years after that we got married. ^^;

    Anyway...who's Kobayashi Miki? Never heard of her and Googling her name didn't return any results. Did she go under a pseudonym?

    I had a girl con a bunch of jerks into mob attacking me in a school parking lot because I broke up with her. Then the next day I got called to the principal's office and he said someone claimed I had a gun in my locker... I didn't get in trouble because there's no way in hell I had a gun, but it was ridiculous. I had problems for the rest of the year from those that mobbed me. I was never in love with the girl in the first place because she was manipulative. Also had a long term relationship that broke off pretty dramatically, and a short one too. Luckily I'm settled down and married to the woman I love now. Heartbreak can hurt like a stab wound.

    Only had some nice and clean ones. With my last girlfriend, we had a brief, short meeting at Starbucks. Not sure if she was plotting anything against me afterwards, but she's incredibly happy now with some other guy and I'm still alive. Love can make people go mad I guess. Yep, some are pretty crazy these days. They aren't even with you, yet they act like they own you or something. Best to try and avoid them at all possible, which usually doesn't work all that well anyways.

    Breaks can be pretty tough. For the one who is on the receiving end of the break up (the one who would rather not break up), the emotional pain practically feels like a knife going through you. Good thing emotional pain usually doesn't end up physical. I hope the guy turns out ok. That is, assuming he was being a good guy about it. If not, then I could care less for him and he almost deserves that knife to the chest. (Note: I said "almost", some other form of non-physical punishment would be preferred here.)

    ...Only had one break-up, and it was one of those mutual agreements so it's all good. We're still friends.

    The way that she mentions she's a manga artist, and no one knows about it - either she's just trying to make otakus look bad, the guy was an otaku, or she's someone trying to make her way into the industry. That's my take on it anyway.

    All i can say is that when a woman loves a man deeply this can happen which is why if men are to break up with their women they should do it in a way where both can settle things calmly.

    i think about 5 or 6 years ago, in the city i lived was a same case like that. This girl went to her ex bf wedding, take out a knife out of her purse and slash his abdomen area. Not sure if the man survived but the girl was put into a mental hospital. Turns out this man cheated her money to marry other person. This girl have sacrificed her family and career for this man. So people, please even if you are in love don't give all 100% especially not your money!!

    I never broke up with anyone because I never have been in a relationship before. But I was hurt nonetheless...

    She was my first love. Once I saw her I can't get her out of my mind. It took me a year to confess my feelings for her. I told her if we could be more than friends but she told me she wasn't ready yet. I accepted that she wasn't prepared so I told her it was ok. But after a couple of weeks I found out that she was already going out with someone for months. That didn't stop me though. I waited for the time she would break-up with the guy, but that didn't happen. As a result of my stupidity I ended up getting hurt more and more. Then the day came that she herself told me that she took their relationship to the next level (if you know what I mean). That broke me. It shattered my heart into a million pieces. My image of her was defiled. I almost snapped because of that. For months I couldn't think straight. I couldn't normally do the things I do everyday correctly.

    It took me months before I realized that it was my own fault that I was hurt this bad. I should have trusted my head more than my heart. From there I realized that I am not ready for this emotion called love. The pain I felt from that experience was almost intolerable. Some people would get over it in an instant. I mean, we never became a couple so why should I get hurt so much right? It sounds like such a small fuss to be making a big deal out of it right? It was there that I came to the conclusion that if I ever engage in a relationship where in the end we would break up, I might not be able to handle the pain. I would rather get shot or stab then feel it again.

    That's why whenever I develop a feeling of infatuation to a girl, I try to invalidate the feeling by thinking of pessimistic thoughts like "She already has a BF" or "She's too good for you" or "Like anyone would like a guy like you" in which the last two are in fact applies to me in reality.

    I haven't been in a relationship because of all the heavy respect, responsibilities and what-nots that comes with it. Plus, I don't want to date someone I don't know of >.>;;

    I've been in a middle of two people starting a relationship that had a bad ending. I don't even know why I was involved. I guess they trusted me not to tell one or the other. I saw both sides of their views in the relationship that they tried to develop, man, the girl was really misunderstood the relationship... she somehow developed hatred for men >.>;;
