1977 Candy Girl

Going to keep it short n sweet today as I need to leave in 20 mins for the Tokyo Anime Fair 2007 - expect 2 tons of anime coverage over the next few days.

Found this when rummaging around the net as one does. You've already seen what Candy girl currently looks like but Orient Industries have published pictures of what Candy girl used to look like back in 1977. The 1977 model cost 38,000 yen while the current one costs 660,000 yen.
If you could get a new (not a second hand one) 2007 candy girl for 38,000 yen and had a secret compartment at home big enough to fit one, would you get one? Also presume that she comes in an unmarked box labeled "weight training goods".

If you are interested in reading about life in Japan, seeing photos taken daily around Tokyo, like Japanese subculture (anime, manga, figures, Dollfies) then you may want to start delving into the Japan or Figure categories for a start or have a gander at all photo articles.

If you don't have much time now, maybe subscribe to the RSS Feed, Twitter Feed or join the other readers in the FaceBook Page.
Alternatively, you may want to read more about the site.
If you are a regular reader then this message will probably annoy you each time - hide it forever.

This item was posted in the category. You can see more of everything else or subscribe via RSS instead.

Whatever it is about Candygirl, I say "Ewwww...!"

No thanks. If I ever had the occasion to get one as a gift (thanks for the thought or the curse) I would sell it right away on EBay ;)

Sorry for all the Candygirl fans out there...

Hmmm... A Candy Girl for about £150... I would feel like a right sad git, but for the money I save, it would be a bargain! Im not sure about it though.... It seems... unhealthy...!

Nice to see the history of candy girl - i never realised how old she was! Love the 77 version - was it really just a stump with breasts and a 'hole'? 'Boxing helena' anyone? Hahaha!

Looking forward to the delights of the anime fair.

I'd only buy Candygirl for one reason and one reason only: to scare the crap out of my guests. :D

Just putting her in the guest bedroom, sitting on a rocking chair just staring at them from the chair to their bed would just creep them out. XD

The 1977 Candy Girl looks ugly and awful.

But at least they improved it to it's present form.

Akh i've always found sex dolls(that is a sex doll, right) to be pretty freaky and the 2007 candy girl looks even more freaky than your average sex doll.

Looking forward to your anime expo report.

Back in 1977 they had to star somewhere with those dolls. I mean the hair was popular back in Japan at that time.

Plus even back then it was still better thatn anything else like that out there.
