The folks who brought you Tomoyo Fighter are now developing a Clannad RPG.
Moeto Web has a few screenshots and this lovely illustration of Nagisa in RPG and cast off mode.

Any RPG fans here or are you mostly FPS? I used to like Furai no Siren but that was over ten years ago. These days prefer Ninja Gaiden, DMC, MGS type games. Still waiting for a decent shooter for the PS3.

Yah, I'm fairly sick of FPS games. When it's all said and nothing new has really been done since Doom. Yeah, there are different guns, physics, and Crysis was pretty they're ALWAYS the same: You against an innumerable horde with only your trusty BFG, 16 other weapons, more ammo than a platoon can carry and a pistol that never, EVER runs out of bullets.

Gimme an rpg with a storyline any day. I just hope that this isn't another "Save The Princess" game.

I loved the rpg's "Star Ocean Till The End Of Time" (PS2) and "Knights Of The Old Republic" (PC). I gave up on "Xenosaga II" (PS2), I just couldn't get used to the battle system...

In the mmorpg category I used to play "Yogurting" a lot (http://www.yogurting.jp/ - they banned foreign IP's though... maybe I should try a workaround) That was a great game with a definite anime feel to it. And you could watch your own pantsu as you ran... what other games have that!?!

Myself, I am an RPG fanatic. I tried 3-D fighters, and some 2.5-D fighters that I hoped would give me the same feeling. But in the end, leveling up and getting more powerful equipment is what I look forward to.

Then again, I remember when I had a Konata moment when I found a sword that was a quest item to defeat a monster in Rune Scape. It just popped up while I was traveling. That, and how much I liked Guild Wars until I got to the second half.

Besides that... I am waiting for Eternal Sonata (Trusty Bell) to come out for the PS3, and wish I waited longer for it (opposed to getting Soulcalibur IV). That, and maybe Sony put out a "complete edition" of Folklore (FolksSoul). That, or check out other RPGs and 2-D fighters.

And oh yeah... For those who do not know this... Aya Hirano is the seiyuu to the character "Polka" in Trusty Bell. (But I currently like Chopin and Rondo.)

My main interests transitioned from RTS (elementary school, Warcraft2+Total Annihilation) to FPS (middle-high school, Counter-strike and other HL2 mods) to RPGs in college. Ironically, I find a correlation between my decreasing free time among the years and my playing games that are increasingly more time intensive.

The Clannad RPG is available on the 360 and released only in Japan correct? Man I wish they'd sell more games like that here in the US.

I'm a solid RPG fan. The only games I've played aside from RPG is Gran Turismo and Tekken.

I haven't gamed in a long time...no time, and what time I have I diverted towards my huge backlog of anime. ^^; I'm mainly FPS these days, but I used to love RPGs. The problem is that I only play them on PC, and nowadays it seems most RPGs are MMOs, which I can't stand. I play RPGs with storylines and endings. Not ones where I endlessly try to level in a sort of purgatory.

That pic alone has almost sold me, but the fact that it's in Japanese, and an RPG, means I probably won't be able to play it. : Unlike Tomoyo Fighter, I'll have to actually read stuff.

I'm probably an FPS person.. more action for me. But I really enjoyed certain RPG's namely the Kingdom Hearts series and FF Series. But nothing beats a good old LAN party with CS 1.6 ^^

I don´t play FPS, that´s y i bought a PS3. Most of the time i play sports games or rpg´s. At the moment i´m playing Odin Sphere (yeah i works on PS3) and it has such a good story, japanese language with subs and really nice artwork. It´s a must play game!

Meh... I like RPGs. But I can't seem to finish the majority of RPG games that I play. As of now I have not finished a single Final Fantasy game. I only finished a few RPG games but I really can't remember their names.

I mostly play FPS. I'm hooked to Call of Duty 4 right now, playing it in the Internet cafe near my university during break time. I also play RTS games. My all-time favorite RTS is Command & Conquer. I also play flight sims like YSFlight Simulator x_x

I guess that the game will be great... but I normally turn my head to FPS's or RTS's, like Battlefield: Bad Company and Starcraft.

I am an RPG and FPS person. I prefer FPS games with multiplayer support like CoD4 and BF2142. Offers more replay value so that the game doesn't get boring easily.

IINM, a few good shooter games are bound to hit the PS3 namely Resistance 2, MAG and Killzone 2.
