Check out this most handsome otaku room. Huge glass shelves = want.
Not sure about the figures bunched up together like that though - makes it difficult to appreciate the beauty of each figure.
3.33AM - me better get going back to bed again - woken up by mosquitoes ToT.

Original text from wcloudx below.

One of the best looking room a collector would like to have. Clean, comfy and room full'o shelves!!

More at Taste's blog.

Love the interior. The one who designed it is genius ^^

Gundams look like they take up most of the top but there's quite a lot of variation, esp within the cabinet. I see a genesic GaoGaiGar, Godannar, Granzort, Guyver, scopedog (votoms), Dragonar, Armoured core and even a Daizengar&Trombe combo!!!

Remember, real men ride eachother (you'll only understand if you've played the relevant super robot wars games)

Where is Fist of the North Star, Trigun, Rurouni Kenshin, and Osamu Tezuka title figures and other stuffz?

You know, usually when I look at images of figures it's really hard to get a real sense of how big it is, because there's nothing else in the image to compare it too (like maybe a soda can). I've wondered how big the FREEing bunnies were, but now that I have something to compare it to in this image. WHOA! That thing IS HUGE!

Awesome for the Gundam fan... I'm not, but I loved the non-mecha figures.

Also, what Danny said. I think it's too crowded.
The room is very nice and neat, but I think to have a really great display, he'd have to have another glass shelf just like that... XD

That reminds me of a local toy shop of mixed toys e.g. gashapon and shokugan, as well as some figures, cars, and gunplas. It has these glass shelves on all walls and in the middle of the shop. If it is to be bigger and brighter it can be a showroom by now.

It's nice that his figures have a place all to themselves but in my opinion it looks really cluttered. Something like that looks like it should be in a store, not so much a personal collection. The only collections that look proper in mass on a shelf to me are books, dvds and cds.
One thing I do not care for would be the different scale sizes of figures in such a close proximity to each other. I can be pretty ADD and even when I was 4, my Ninja Turtles did not interact with GI Joes because of the size difference. That's one thing that really ticked me off about Transformers toys especially when they were in vehicle mode and the sizes were all off.

He has several apartments packed with his collection, but everything is setup more like a meuseum, and like one big area glass shelf will have like one figure in it. So when you don't have enough room at your apartment in Japan, just buy more.

I see that he has a nice set-up, as well as an impressive collection of figures. Because I see one section for anime series-based characters, giant robot series (could be anime and/or video game based), Final Fantasy figures (even though they are from Advent Children), and Tokusatsu (Or, at least, I think I see that).

But I have to agree with Danny. The set up feels too cluttered in some spots. Plus, I also feel the layout makes the whole thing feel unbalanced as well. I do see how he set it up, but one part did not have the same level of appeal as others. (But that is me.)

no offense, agree with danny, that is not how you put your figures, it renders appreciation of each useless

You just stack 'em up is all

when you display a whole bunch of figures like that
it looks like a garage sale gone bad
you need to 'rotate' your best pieces in and out of the case every so often
that also makes it fun since you get a 'hands on' feel to what you are collecting
displaying numerous sets of gashapon has become a problem for me, so now I only show a few nicer ones

He should sell or hide those he like less and display only the ones he likes more. Excessive figures will draw attention from the individual appeal of each figure. Furthermore, it looks like just a mass of plastics. Not exactly a collector's paradise to me.

True, but if she check the link from danny's post, you'll see that even in the hallway it would seem he tried to space it out as much as he can and as well as having to categorize the majority of it. I bet that took a ton of time to do (plus reorganization)

    great collection
    like the glass shelfs

but they are way to full imo
I like open space for figures so that you can admire them
not peek trough other figures to see one
