Anime Sequels

Another interesting anime topic to talk about - sequels.
The Minamike Okawari wasn't really a sequel for me as it was a totally different production studio (I think) even though the seiyuu were the same. So yes - more of Minamike is good especially if its the first production studio working on it.

Would be interesting to see a Cowboy Bebop sequel but its such a classic that maybe it should be left as be. I also want more of Solid State Society.

A terrible sequel would be DieBuster - sequel to GunBuster.

What anime would you choose to have a sequel and what sequels do you think should never have been made?

I'm sure for a number of people here, there is an anime that hold a special place in their heart, be it for any reason, such as maybe the experiences in it were similar to what you had experienced, so you could connect to it on a level? Perhaps it was just something that could just make you smile no matter what.

Let's say hypothetically you were an executive for numerous different TV stations, and had the power solely to green-light anime to go into production. Thinking hard about it, you decide to go with a sequel to an existing anime. What anime would you choose? Why?

Now for some people, just because you might have favorite anime A, doesn't mean you'd want to see a continuation of it because it just may be perfect as it is.

I'd personally would love to see ARIA continue, yes it's true it had 3 seasons, but 3 amazing seasons at it. The end of ORIGINATION did a wonderful job of tying things up, but you can't help but wonder what happens after that, especially a long running one like ARIA, you kind of almost feel like you're part of the family, and when they go away you miss them.

What anime would you choose to have a sequel for, and why?
