Bishoujo Figures

I didnt expect yesterdays Bishoujo Figure Convention to be a big event but when I got down to the venue I was surprised to see tons and tons (and tons) of people lining up.

Quickly delt with the press pass shenanigans and went straight in to find... not much at all. I was amazed that thousands(?) of people turned up for an event with only a handful of stalls which included Kotobukiya and Good Smile. This event seemed to be more of a get-your-grubby-mitts-on-booty thing than a fully fledged figure show.

They did however have some nice figures which you will see further on in this report.

Got home rather sleepy to find Zelda and Monkey Ball waiting for me - spent the night playing as a film crew came over to do some shooting. No rest for the wicked.
BTW, I'm aware that you know your figures so am only writing blurb about some of these.

Seen the pre-release info for this figure of Peace＠Pieces Nagi but didnt pre-order until I saw her at the event and promptly came home to order on Amazon ^^;
Have no idea who she is, what she does but who cares when figures get this cute.

For those who were wondering about this figure of Haruhi - Orange.

The queue went on forever.

And by the time the queue reached the venue, they had to form one of those zig zag queues that you normally have fun in at the airport.

Unfortunately they were not giving out posters - nice poster!

As I mentioned earlier on - I think this show was more of a buy-stuff rather than to display stuff which could have been the reason why the lighting was lousy - hence bad pictures. Probably the worst set of pics I have ever taken at an event.

Is anybody getting this figure of Masane? I think she looks kinda odd in this pose.

This person was dressed up like this for some reason.

This person has a figure rested on his shoulder - was attached with safety pins. I really wanted to know if he came on the trains like that because of he did then he is a better man than me. I guess I could attach a figure to the shoulder bell of my armor...

How about some sailor clothing for your figures? 2,520 yen is a bit steep for me. 1,000 yen and I'd think again and dress Chitose in it.

This fully posable figure of Saber pretty much sold out everywhere as soon as she hit the catalog.
