Are you looking for a romantic movie to watch with your new GF/BF? If so then Tokyo Gore Police may be just the movie for you. They recommend you be over 20 to watch the movie due to the ”extreme" scenes. Would this be on your watch list?

Original text from FatBastard below.

This is strange. I have no idea whats goin on here, but its definitely strange. That's all I have to say...

Trailer is NSFW. You've been warned.

I'd say I was surprized and amazed of how random and gory the trailer was, but after watching a whole bunch of very strange jmovies (Ichi the Killer, Survive Style 5+, Jisatsu Circle, Audition, etc), I must say I'm not (surprized that is).
    But I'm interested nevertheless.

Am I the only surprised that YouTube allows that level of gore but refuses to show any nudity? Seems ass-backwards to me.

Yeah the trailers have been going around. Those trailers are rather old and low budget, there are far better movies out there. Id say it ranks right up there with Ichi the Killer and Machine Girl, also Guts of a Virgin as well as the whole Guinea Pig Series you want a crazy flick to watch, you gotta check out the Flowers of Flesh and Blood. Ether way way to go Danny for recognizing the Japanese horror scene.

IT's going on my avoid at all costs list. Don't like the gore even if it is chessy.

Things I've learned from Japanese movies:
The human body contains over 50 gallons of blood all at very high pressure.

Hahaha, man these shock movies are just absolutely hilarious if they expect anyone to take it seriously. Sheesh, B-movies at their finest; actually even a step below given how most of these have former/current adult stars in the top billing.

Tokyo Gore Police is a pretty silly attempt at a gore fest. I would have enjoyed this movie better if it were an anime instead of live action. Most of the characters were over the top. Some of these props were pretty fake looking. I felt like the Director of Photography dropped the ball. I didn’t see a good flow of shot variation. I just saw a lot of direct addressing, (as in the character facing the audience instead of another character) and not a lot of Wide, Medium and Close-up shots. Then there is the camera operator. The budget must have been pretty low in that department because there are scenes that are almost unwatchable. One shot has the main character in her car with the camera in front facing the character. The camera shook the entire shot. I couldn’t imagine anyone with a weak stomach being able to watch this movie just from the shaking. The best part of the movie happened when the movie cut to commercials. Kind of like how Starship Troopers did it. There were a couple of random ones too. Like one with a few cute Japanese school girls and cutesy blades showing a cutting motion on their wrists. It looked cute and surreal all at the same time. If you like a gore fest with latex body parts, blood that flows out like water either from a faucet or a over pressurized pipe, hilarious commercials, poor camera movement , and over the top characters. This movie is for you. Anyone who dislikes any of that might not like this movie. If you want to know a little more about the premise, the movie is about evil people called Engineers who when dismembered grow weapons back in the place of his/her limb. The Tokyo Police Department is now corporation run. It is their job to take the Engineers out. This is the main story. There are a few side stories as well. Long post for my first one ;).
