Top 10 Hardest Games

Need to think a bit about the top 10 hardest games I've played but ones that spring to mind are "Ghouls n Ghosts" for the C64, Onimusha 3 for PS2 (kept going around in circles) and R-Type - hate the loose-all-weapons-when-die thing.
